I seriously doubt people of Canada would pay more taxes because of one couple. Nothing in your life will change because of them. I suppose that is what will happen, if you think about it, even not being royals (whatever that means) they are like a celebrity couple, like they have "fans" , people that like them and admire them, they also have haters i suppose. So they need security like celebrities, they will probably work on something that will provide them a good income and will live like celebs, like you said, in the sense they will always need security. I’d welcome Harry & Meghan and I don’t mind my taxes helping them. I think they symbolize a positive future in this troubled world, and people need good examples for guidance and education.
