Obviously, people are righteously angry and protesting at the lies about the plane crash, etc. and there were already a lot of protests against the government in the past month—but I wouldn't rely on MEK as a source, ever. The tweets/videos/translations are legitimate even if one cites MEK (a stopped clock is right twice a day, and all that)–Farnaz is a decent enough source, too. Arash Karami is also a good journo when it comes to Iranian matters. My point was even if the tweets are legit (including the one that mentioned MEK), just be wary of anyone who cites MEK as a good source of info of what's on the ground. This will be a terrible comparison (ones a quasi cult, one's a news organization), but think of it like FOX—occasionally, they report accurately but 90% of the time they make things up/take things out of context/twist things through their own lens. FYI—the Trump admin LOVES MEK even though they are quasi-Marxist (it's a weird...deal). What exactly is your point?
