You would have thought ARTPOP, Cheek to Cheek, even Joanne would have scared us off. But.... we're always ready to throw down for hopes of another iconic number we can throw at Madge stans on atrl and Facebook comments. 

IE: The fact Gaga now has:

-More Grammys than Madonna.

-More Overall Awards than Madonna. 

-An award Madge always wanted, but never got: an Academy Award.

I think something a la ARTPOP, maybe a little bit more. 300K? It all depends on how people will receive this record, if the huge and long waiting will be well repaid with monster and smart promotion, and let's not forget about the lead performance on the charts.

Depending on the quality of the music.

If it's heavily acclaimed, then it will start slow before exploding like A Star Is Born.

If it's mediocre music, then it will start strong (200k-300k debut) before dying out.

I have faith in the quality of the music, what I'm concerned is whether or not she's going to promote this record extensively. What's assuring is that she has nothing planned between now and May before Enigma starts.

What's not assuring is how she cannot announce a tour anytime soon because of her obligation to fulfill the Enigma contract, as well as whether she's willing to travel to countries all over the world to promote LG6 in light of mental and physical health. She also can't include 10 tracks from LG6 into Enigma, cause that would be a whole new show and wouldn't be called Enigma anymore.

I don't want to get an era where after the release of the music, that's it, it's like an ejaculation, it's over so quickly. I want it to last like a sweet foreplay.

I totally agree with you. Let's wait, have faith and hope. This time, is like ARTPOP; music OR the bling? I hope she will choose the first one.

Idk I think it will out-debute Joanne and maybe ARTPOP. But I feel like this is going to be bigger than both of them. Its good that she keeps it mysterious tho. That way the gp won't be that hyped about it and so she can't really disapoint them. Its like when you watch a good movie without seeing the trailer first.

Agree. I feel like people are ignoring how much streaming has changed the game even in the past few years.... 500k is no longer a "moderate" opening week—that's a massive, enormous  hit. Ariana didn't do much promo for TUN, but she still was everywhere in the media and even that opened with under 400k.

I feel like it's possible she does more than 400k (especially if the album has a wide appeal in terms of genre—more You and I than straight up EDM/electropop), but unlikely.

I think it will do anywhere from 300k-700k, it all depends on how she plays her cards. She'll get 300k pretty easily imo. She has hype, better streaming, and strong sales. All she needs is quality/acclaim and a decent rollout to do super well. I doubt that it will debut with 1M, but that doesn't matter in the long run. Gaga plays the long-game anyway- that's how she came back from ARTPOP (not that it was this epic complete flop of an era, but it was def a mess). She will sell a few million (at least) by the end of the year pretty easily which is great. Even if it matches the overall ww sales of ASIB, it would still easily outsell albums like Lemonade, Reputation, and thank u, next which is wild.
