Iowa is a caucus, but it is still a closed primary. This would mean that Republicans will watch the Town Hall, go change their official party affiliation, and then spend all day caucusing for Pete Buttigieg just because he does a town hall. That is possibly the least likely event that you could bank on unless his Town Hall is a success of spiritual proportions and is widely reported on, circulated, and watched live, just in a few days -  no offense  

If Pete wins Iowa, it will be because of the groundwork he has laid down in the state early on and because of excitement for his campaign as well as decreased voter turn compared to expectations for the other candidates, not because of this. The potential lack of campaigning from Sanders/Warren/the Klob could be part of it but would be more likely to affect Warren and Amy than Bernie. Similarly, this part could benefit Joe Biden as well.

While you do have valid points, I'll just say it's anyone's game right now and don't underestimate Pete's footprint and ground game in Iowa. He has 35 offices (Obama had 37), the most out of any candidate. Biden/Bernie/Warren have 22-24 each. I have full faith in Pete's campaign and I'm excited to see how it all turns out.  I'm confident he can win. Good luck!

Not those specific polls but multiple threads with various candidates leading have been made in the past. Biden, Warren, Buttigieg.

Why does this headline seem like they are suggesting this poll is wrong or misleading, even though the "expert" notes that it is correct  

But no, it's just shocking and awe inspiring because not only is Joe in 4th and Pete is in 3rd, Sanders is in 1st and Warren is in 2nd and that flies against the media narrative of the rising star Buttigieg in Iowa and Biden's resiliency, and Warren's decline and their general silence on Sanders.

He says that Iowans are schizophrenic... is it because they havent just clearly decided yet? Or because the pundits see Biden and Bernie as opposite sides of a spectrum and can't see how things may have flipped (they haven't, Bernie is leading in the average of all Iowa polls  )

I swear, maybe I should've gotten a 3rd degree in Political Science or something, written a book, moved to NY, and become a pundit because the lack of rigor or standards for some of the people that MSNBC and CNN have on their shows to do *analysis* is... staggering.

This is looking good, but it's still not cause to celebrate. Everything is so in flux. I really hope Bernie knocks it out of the park at the debate with some zingers. It's clear that Biden and Buttigieg will shift their targets from Warren to Bernie this next go around.

I'm a pessimist, I wouldn't be surprised if they call it a fluke and refuse to give him positive coverage at all  Hell, they might even try to pull some recount b.s, or if its close, they'll frame it as just a *close* defeat, or a *slight* victory for whoever they want  

"Joe Biden loses the battle, but is set to win the war" or "Joe wins by being seen as a threat" etc  

It's clear to me that MSM is trying to do damage control just on this one poll all over the place. The attack ads and opinion articles are all being forwarded as we speak  Some are already published!

Joe Biden is gonna gonna bring any positive change in my view so I just hope to god he isn't the candidate
