Bling 31,488
Please watch the above video. We have to stop. We have to stop saying unkind things about Gaga and her career. She is battling everyday just to conquer chronic pain, trauma, PTSD, etc all for (some of) us to not appreciate everything this woman does and it's really sick. To summarize the video: - Gaga is in chronic pain everyday. Every...day. From the moment she wakes up. - She takes medication, meditates, goes through several different types of therapy, and more just to deal with past traumatic events. - She had a psychotic break (based on what she says in the video about it being during a court deposition, I'm assuming this was Kesha's court case re: Dr. Luke) - She used to be an emotional cutter. - She spent 5 years on the go, touring, making music, promo, etc all while thinking she was going to die due to chronic pain. She's gone through, and continues to go through all of these things only for us to complain that we aren't getting what we want. I will be the first one to say I've been an impatient little brat, complaining about the wait for LG6, Haus Labs, etc. I'm stopping. This cannot continue. This woman is continuing her career so that we and others can be inspired to heal ourselves and the world. I truly love her and Gaga, if you're reading this, you've changed my life in so many ways I will be forever grateful. I, too, deal with the aftermath of trauma and have family members that battle fibromyalgia and psychosis. You are an inspiration to us all and I hope we can give you as much love as you've given us. Thank you. I commit to supporting Gaga through whatever venture she wants to take. I commit to spreading kindness and stopping with negativity and asking about LG6. I commit to not criticizing Gaga's voice, facial features, body, dancing, etc. How has this video changed your view of Gaga? Can you be more kind? Can you be more brave? Guest
Honestly, I agree. While I don't think there's anything inherently bad about discussing and, yes, criticizing Gaga's ventures or expressing one's excitement for the upcoming album, a lot of the time said discussions get out of hand and people resort to name calling and incredibly insensitive and disrespectful remarks about Gaga over things that are either out of her control or aren't exactly being shoved down anyone's throat. By talking about her struggles Gaga's helped (and is helping) me deal with a lot of my own and she genuinely makes me feel less alone and misunderstood and for that I'll forever be grateful. Everything from her music to the way she presents herself to the world motivates and inspires me and I wouldn't spend so much time on a forum dedicated to all things her if that wasn't the case. It's not easy being this open about the things that bring or have brought us pain and seeing her talk about it so bravely really makes me want to put effort into doing it myself and trying to embrace the world in a kinder way. And I know that a lot of people brush this off and don't feel that sort of connection with her and think that her talking about mental health is a waste of time but I genuinely don't think that's true, especially knowing that so many of us find healing in Gaga's actions and bond over it. I'm very grateful to have found this community and interacted with so many incredible people as well as having immersed myself in Gaga's world. She's really that bitch. DC 25,164
I literally JUST got done watching this and thought the exact same thing! SO many people are being so mean about Enigma and HL, it's like they just can't be happy for anything she's literally working her hardest to make and it's REALLY sad! Sure they can say they don't like the wig but when they say they want the old Gaga back, they don't realize they also want a mentally unstable version of her that needed help, she has that help and is now trying to fight for mental health within the whole world now. If a wig is really making you that upset, then maybe just don't talk about it cause spreading any kind of negativity feeds your mind that it's ok to think badly of people. She's the happiest she's ever been now, and that's all I could ever ask for. Sure it'd be cool to have another Born This Way era, but I'd much rather have a happy person making whatever she wants to do, and everyone just appreciating her effort she puts into everything she does rather than ripping at all the little things. Get well Gaga, if you're reading this Also Joanne is my most favorite album, it's very special and me and my mom have super amazing memories listening to Perfect Illusion and Just Another Day. Thank you so much

Thank you so much What's difficult for me is that I really resonated with TFM/BTW imagery and concepts, and I don't know if Gaga will return to dark subject matter (in the same regard) as before. Obviously, I'll get over it. But I really enjoyed the way she rolled out those concepts. Whatever she does in the future is the best way for herself and her mental health
Bradley 59,255
But some people think her Enigma wig is ugly, her acting is cringy, her vocals are strained and messy, her outfits are horrendous and should be changed, her staying in Vegas is a sign of her not caring about her international fans and thEy haVe a RIghT to An OpInION, EvEN if itS A NEGAtive onE!!!!!!!! Seeka 12,372
Honestly, we need to stop trying to change people. This fanbase is old enough to be permanently toxic. And we've been catered too a little too much in our lives. As much as I want to call certain users out, I can't. But they know who they are. Falling for every bit of false information like it was word from a prophet. Then blaming Gaga for not following through on false information. And we deserve to be made fun of. Called out. Because we are truly awful. There is literally no point though. Those who are so tragically entitled they disregard Gaga's health cannot be turned. I see where you're coming from but we can't really harbor this mentality. While yes, there's always going to be a handful of bad apples (sometimes it's all of us) I don't think anyone is Too Far Gone.mp3 nor should we settle for "yeah, we're toxic and there's really no changing that". I understand that much of it stems from stan culture in general, unfortunately, but on a micro scale it's not that hard to cultivate a kinder, less hostile environment and if we put it in our heads that "that's how it is and it's too late to change it" that's exactly how things stay the same. Modern Ecstasy2 2,202
Thank you for writing this I agree 100%. I understand that Gaga is an artist and a musician, and most people here if not basically every, love her for her music, obviously. And because she is a musician, people here expect new music on a regular basis or they get bored and lose interest. Which is fair and I can’t blame people for that. But she is also a beautiful, kind, strong, loving, complex woman who loves and cares so deeply about others and has fought really ****ing hard every single day to make the world a better place, despite the physical and mental pain she endures every day. I think we all have our own unique relationships w Gaga. For myself, I have been so close to death and I am here today because she kept me alive during the darkest periods of my life. And so when I come on here and see people whining that another day has passed and we still don’t have LG6, or the ****ing Enigma wig, or Haus Labs, I get really angry. Because I feel that some people don’t have a balanced perspective and they don’t fully appreciate how fortunate we really are that Gaga is in the world and that we are alive at the same time as her. I think that some people need a new perspective on Gaga, her life, what she has been through, what she does for us and how hard she continues to fight and work every day to keep making art but also to use her platform to spread compassion and kindness. Gratitude, y’all. Gratitude. “Delete this thread that person is not Gaga he is a hot blonde twink”

Ivy 12,749
I really admire her for doing this, and I'm curious to see where it's going to lead to. I can relate to some of the things she is talking about that she's gone thru, and I wish so much that I could talk to her because I feel like no one I know understands. She's 100x more brave than me. I can only hope to be as brave as her at some point in my life. I'm just really thankful for her being in our lives, and for her heart that makes her want to help people, and for her music. the meow in zombieboy
