Are we gonna have this released on dvd/Blu-ray too?

Yes. It is generating Oscar buzz for Best Picture, Gaga will probably be nominated for Best Actress and Oprah for Best Supporting Actress.

Would be great if Gagadaily or any other big Gaga related account shared this amazing talk on their social media, because a lot of people need to hear this one!

I was a little disappointed to hear about her opinion on narcotics but I'm so proud of her for being so open with the world. I wish more fans would watch her talking about stuff like this because she reveals a lot of personal stuff that helps you understand her more.

I've watched the livestream. If I have to watch it again, I need to prepare myself emotionally because I was so affected by the interview the first time. I'm sure Oprah herself felt the same, thus the meme was born. :toofunny:

I feel like at that point the question on narcotics is becoming an entire huge topic even if it is part of the mental health topic. She was probably emotionally spent talking about her rape and how she got the condition. Or they know there's not gonna be any more time for that and it was dangerously on the verge of prescribing meds to others who may follow what she said. That's why she had to reinforce the statement to say she is not endorsing or prescribing the meds to anyone and asked them to consult their psychiatrists.

Yeah and I also understand she's not a doctor so she obviously doesn't know everything. It just caught me a bit by surprise coming from a fellow pain patient and I wish I could talk to her one day about it. She has helped so many disabled and/or chronically ill people already and it seems she wishes to continue so I'm grateful for that in the first place, though.

All good jokes aside (y’all are legit funny af :ladyhaha:) I think GGD should make a “Wellness” tag meant for things like this, and other forms of mental and/or physical health topics for those members seeking a broader understanding of their personal health. That’d be Dope.mp3 of us as a community tbh

I just finished watching it.  Gaga answered a number of questions that I had been curious about, like how much pain she suffers on a daily basis, not just on the flareups.  What a journey she has had to make, to get to a state of radical acceptance when the natural reaction to being in constant pain would be try to fix it.  I know how hard therapy is, it's hard work so I applaud her for that.  The other part was when she clarified that she had made a choice not to name who raped her so that she wouldn't have to relive it, and that made total sense considering what happened to her even after a deposition.  I'm pretty sure she does not want another psychotic break.

The response she gave Oprah, when she teared up and said "5 years", wow, that moment was just so pure and vulnerable, I really felt for her.

My only nit-pick would be, I preferred the way the questions were asked in the Elle interview, because here, Oprah would quote them or pick words from them and I felt like it was a bit like putting words into Gaga's mouth.

I did like the talk about radical acceptance, since acceptance is currently a topic I'm interested in and also something that I struggle with.  Accepting my own imperfections and shyness, and also that I'm constantly more lonely than I'd like to be, both of which are related.  Because I'll feel lonely and then I'll blame myself for my flaws that cause me to be lonely.  If I'm not lonely, then I find I can be more okay with myself.  I'm glad that Gaga mentioned that it was the biggest reason for people being depressed, so that I could feel less alone for a moment.  Because I've never heard anyone say out loud that they feel lonely.  Although I don't like to feel it either.  Whenever I'm at home, I'd much rather do something that distracts me from thinking about my life.  Personally I'm not really sure if social media contributes to loneliness, I don't think reading social media affects me, although what does affect me is people checking their phones in person when I'm out socialising and how people in general don't give you their full attention as often as they used to anymore.

That part about going to a psychiatrist to get anti-depressants, I wish I'd heard that earlier and I totally agree with that.  If I did it again, that's how I would do it.  I was taking anti-depressants a few years ago, but I just got it from a doctor and she didn't know how to answer any of the questions I gave her, and I felt so alone about the concerns I had with the anti-depressants I was taking, because I didn't have anyone to ask, and whenever I googled it online, the answer was to ask your doctor!

I might not agree with everything she said but that was such a great and sincere interview :applause:

Its good to know Gaga is taking care of her health, and that she can somehow control her pain (or at least reduce it a bit)
