Throwback to a song and music video that sparked controversy when it released but that remains more relevant than ever with this whole Iran-US mess going on currently.
I’ll never stop applauding Madonna for the statement she made with this track and video. One of the ballsiest moves in pop culture for sure.

so bold, poor people fighting the rich's war

What I really liked was how she portrayed war as being just a spectacle for society, everyone cheering on the bombing and deaths of civilians since it’s on another country. She really did THAT.

No one nowadays has the balls to do this

Except maybe, Madonna. I cant think of anyone else who has the balls she does in today's music world, especially concerning politics and important issues

StrawberryBlond

This was made at a time when people made a more genuine effort for change, rather than just talking about it in "woke" terms. Activism has changed so much in the last few years. I miss the times when imagery was this bold, this daring, this determined to wake people up. But now it's a case of safe spaces and not showing things that might be triggering and fearing ways in which misinterpretation could occur. This remains one of the best music videos of all time and one that still remains sadly relevant today.

Reject False Icons

@StrawberryBlond couldn’t have said it better

a lot of people that watches this video grosses out because of the war footage but isn’t it real, the truth is what hurts the most and I’m sad that people fascinates with war thinking nobody will be hurt. When Innocent people always gets seriously affected, but everyone tells them that the other guys are the enemy and almost automatically we dehumanize people and think they don’t feel or think on the level. Anyway all of this is show in the video
