And you do realize that wasn’t the first provocation....it’s been going on for years right? You do thoroughly understand the history of Iran over the past three decades, before you make statements like that, right?

“Statements like that” - you are reaching conclusions made up in your own head about my statements. 

I’m commenting on their current strategy which, as of now, to me, has been successful for their goals.

Once again, I literally quoted what you said, not reaching for conclusions lol. It’s what you said, and it just doesn’t sound very well thought out. here is why-

Iran has been provoking and poking its neighbors and the US for decades. Now, you’ve poked the president who is trigger happy, he retaliated way over the top, and then you try to retaliate back. Knowing this could start a war with a country who spends 6 trillion dollars a year on their millitary. You think this is a good, clean strategy, that is not going to cause unrest and lives lost in the Middle East for years to come? This is a horrible, horrible strategy. If it is a strategy. I will commend Iran on their position of the American people- and how they are trying to center their attention on the president. However, if you poke a bear, repeatedly, is it a good strategy to expect nothing to happen?

US will not start a full on war with Iran. Furthermore, Iran’s attack on Iraqi bases will make the political pressure to remove US troops out of Iraq stronger. Another win for Iran. 

They also just announced they are willing to de-escalate. The US is less likely to attack as strongly as they probably wish.

Now Iran will push for nuclear weapons and use the killing of this man as a justification. 

That’s just my analysis of what’s happening now. 

Of course the US could end Iran right now, but it’s not happening.

This is so sad. I read that danish soldiers were, for som reason, also stationed on the base. I fear that this is going to somehow escalate even quicker, if they also attack soldiers not directly related to the conflict.
