Good for her I guess but one song and a video to push the Equality Act and voicing her political opinions over the last several months to me doesn’t seem like enough to win that type of award. But she’s been advocating for the LGBTQ community since 2009. Taylor, love her but honey puts one song out and a statement that features drag queens, the cast of Queer Eye, a few other well known LGBTQ celebrities and wins this award that quickly. The GLAAD Vanguard Award is a special GLAAD Media Award presented annually by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation at the GLAAD Media Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles. She's been milquetoast about her politics and benefited from that for a long, long time and her goofy, bare minimum attempts at being an advocate in the past few months are hardly worthy of acknowledgement.
