yeah, but in that case it evens out because they're going to be split anyways as voters vote for different actresses 

Here she is going against herself because if voters want to vote for Margot they have two options, which split the total amount of votes she would get if she had only gotten one nomination. She could get the majority of the votes but it doesn't necessarily mean she is going to win because they're going to be split across two nominations

I get that. I guess this would happen if both of your performances are almost equally strong. If one of them happens to be significantly stronger than the other, then I guess the voters will know which one to vote for.

Margot is one of my favourites, but Florence is the one who I’m most excited for here. She’s so talented and I’m rooting for her success so much in the future.
