brownie 5
Hey guys! Last summer I started a youtube channel and many of you gave a TON of excellent feedback that helped shape what my channel would become. It's a cinemasins-like film analysis channel, but I make the videos as fun as possible and cover lesser-known cult classics that I love and want to shine a spotlight on. You guys really took the time to give me good feedback and say what works and what didn't; several of you even messaged me tons of youtube advice and suggestions. I remember I was really unconfident with my voice, but you guys made me feel really good about it! Seriously, several of you here are why I didn't just give up on even trying to start a channel. I can't thank this place enough. Since last summer I worked on a handful of videos to debut this year and slowly re-edited and scrapped others to be left with the best content. (Each video does truthfully involve a ton of editing time and research, so I spent six months slowing building a workflow and backlog!) Every week a new video from Creature House in this style will come out -- filled with memes and research and logical criticism. The goal is "entertaining film breakdowns / analysis" in the "everything wrong with" style -- but not as relentlessly negative and nit-picky as they are. And always with a focus on cult / b-movie / horror / weird movies that you may not have seen or heard of! Since so many of you guys watched early beta videos and saw early cuts, I thought it would be cool to show you guys the official debut -- I'm super proud of the work that went into this video, a tribute to the loveably goofy 1967 film "Son of Godzilla". (That's right...Godzilla has a kid!) https://youtu.be/UHgZNVD9y6E More "Breaking Down" videos for movies like "Tammy & the T. Rex", "Theodore Rex", "Humanoids From the Deep", "Deep Star Six" and more are coming! Let me know what you think of this one and drop any requests you have for future cult classics I can cover! (And don't forget to interact with the polls!) Don't be afraid to be negative too -- any constructive feedback is most welcome! Much love, Creature House aka brownie
