KatieJudasGaga4 67,907
"A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck Puerto Rico in the early hours of Tuesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake hit close to the town of Tallaboa on the island's south coast, at 4:24 a.m. local time (03:24a.m EST) at a depth of 10 kilometers, USGS said. The earthquake's magnitude was initially reported as 6.6, but was revised down. The Electric Power Authority reported an island-wide power outage, saying on Twitter that power plants had activated their protection mechanisms and gone out of service. Authorities said they were evaluating the power infrastructure, and urged residents to remain calm. https://abcnews.go.com/News/puerto-rico-earthquake-magnitude-66-quake-hits-island/story?id=68111390

RebeldeFaith 5,759
There was a second one an hour later, I think magnitude 6 again. I've been messaging my family and listening to the radio stations from the island to know more about the situation. The photos on Facebook are horrible. I'm sending my prayers to everyone on the island, my family and friends included. Edit: Just so everyone knows, this isn't new. It's been happening for a few weeks now. Sadly this past few days have been the worst. It was never more than magnitude 1 to 3. A lot of people have lost their homes, businesses, cars, schools and more. But thankfully so far no deaths have been reported. A few moments ago AT&T decided to shut down some of the antennas, so sadly I haven't been able to contact everyone. Can I vanish into a cheeseburger pizza?
Bling 31,680
I'm honestly shocked there isn't more conversation around this! My friend is visiting PR (where she originates) and I just got off the phone with her. The worst of the quakes were in the southwestern part of the island (which is where all the pics you'll see in the news) and she and her family are on the north part of the island. They have no power but do have running water. They seem to be in good spirits and are camping outside by the pool I'm interested to see Trump's response to this as he really let them down after Hurricane Maria. Let's hope things will turn out better.
