A label/management promotes, but it's ultimately up to the service. There's articles about how Spotify chose to embrace A Star Is Born. Regardless, Gaga has 30M monthly listeners on Spotify so support is expected. Before Joanne the numbers were between 10-15M, so that's huge.

 

Anyway. Gaga has good management. Interscope is a great label.

The only thing that's bothering me about Stupid Love is those Bloodpop weird noises  So annoying and predictable. 

I don't understand why she chose him to be the album's main producer when she could have chosen a legend like Giorgio Moroder.

But overall, it's a good song and it's been stuck in my head since I heard the leak.

Cause if you're talking about good commercial management, then Interscope is a mess 

- Interscope doesn't certify her albums/singles since the middle age 

- The miss opportunity for ARUTW to be a big WW smash a la Shallow --> ASIB is still in the top 20 in France thanks to ARTUW and INLA being officials singles here while in the US ASIB is almost out of the top 100 

- it counts years for Interscope to understand the importance of streaming in the music industry now (at least for Gaga)

Interscope updating Billie, Imagine Dragons, Selena's certifications but not updating Gaga's... I will never get it, there's probably something we don't know and maybe Bobby's in charge of that or idk

Stupid Love and LG6 was planned for as soon as April of last year. Their plan was to make sure Gaga didn't get swallowed in the momentum of A Star Is Born. I think people are forgetting how huge the movie was, and it would've been easy for the movie to wrap, and any other project to be left in the dust. She's been victim to overexposure in the past. Gaga is lucky she is at Interscope, because if you look at how other artists are treated at various other labels she probably wouldn't be in as good of a spot. She probably wouldn't have the creative freedoms she has, either.

And also, a lot of what goes on promotionally and management, that's actually on Bobby AND Gaga. A lot of her personal troubles had to do with how hectic things were with Troy as her manager. Gaga has more of a say than ever in terms of how things go.
