Koalas on the brink of extinction

Start fighting climate change by simply not purchasing/eating cow meat.

Then protest and fight against fossil fuel industries and all industries putting corporate profits ahead of our planet’s health. And call out and fight against the 99% of corrupt politicians who take these industries’ money’s, do their bidding for them and are essentially their puppets.

the whole political campaign system needs to be changed so politicians cannot reach out to billionaires for money, and do their bidding for them. Without political campaign reform, this corruption will never end

Millions of species go extinct every day. It's not a big deal if it doesn't hurt the ecosystem a lot :hor:

I’m sure you’ll have the same response when humans go extinct :hor:

"Adopting" doesn't mean actually having it in your house... it means paying for it to live in a wildlife sanctuary or somewhere safe.

I know lmao

Im pretty sure I cant adopt species from across the globe tho

Or how about we start fighting climate change by getting rid of billionaires? And stop blaming consumers for the people who are actually causing the damage. That’ll solve over 70% of the problem.

If I could substitute your life or any human who thinks like you for a koala’s, I would in a blink of an eye :hor:

I agree that individual choice is the best we can do but regardless of how many steps we each individually take to reduce our carbon footprints, the real enemies are those corporations and the rich who contribute the most to climate change.

Oh I don’t live in Australia I wish I could actually have one in the house though.

I adopted from a hospital https://www.koalahospital.org.au that is doing a lot for Koalas. Nursing them back to health & also putting up water stations. It’s really just a donation. Just feels a little more personal I guess. Mine is Paul, but I think he and all the others can be adopted unlimitedly.

I am sick of seeing posts about Australia and absolutely ZERO has been done to help. It breaks my heart to see Australia like this, and yet the leaders of this world want to start a war rather than helping out Australia. We should be sending aid, water and supplies, and we should be protecting the remaining wildlife while we can.

I don't have money to adopt or donate, but our world leaders do. I am sick of it.

That increases the rate of climate change, not decrease it. Instead, you should boycott supermarket factory farmed meat and support local grassfed farms. The natural ecosystem of grassfed cows helps reduce the CO2 and methane in the atmosphere, as does many many of the forrests that are being cut down for crop and soy farming.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk, and thats all I am saying on that

Agree 100% we need to combat these fossil fuel industries and all those industries putting corporate profits ahead of the health of our planet.

and the corrupt politicians who take their money to run their campaigns

Yep 100% accurate. We need to do both.

almost all of the blame falls on the fossil fuel industries and all those industries putting their corporate profits ahead of the planet’s health.

we also need to call out all the corrupt politicians who take their money, do their bidding and are their puppets. They use that money for their campaigns.

they want us to focus on us and how its each individual’s fault while really these huge industries are killing and turning our world on fire.

There was a huge oil discovery in Iran, why do y'all think Donald wants a war with Iran? He wants the oil. In 2020, we should be leaving the oil in the ground and using alternatives to fuel the planet... not trying to dig for coal in Australia, or oil fracking in Iran
