As for BR, again, those are all subjective qualities:

"Smart lyrics" - you and I may think so, but people may think it's just a load of horseshit. That's subjective.

"Musically amazing" - again, you and I might think so, but there are people out there that don't care for it.

"Amazing and iconic video" - again, subjective. Some people may think it's just too weird, or they just may flat out not like it.

Also, I don't think Thriller was MJ's best song, by any means. 

This is your subjective opinion tho. BR is objectively lyrically, musically and artistically really smart. Lyric are so smartly written and combined with some of the best artistic pieces from pop culture while sending one unique message. She is singing about something so basic with lyrics that are just so intelligent. Musically BR was something that was never done before at the time and it set the standard for pop culture. It’s AGAIN combination of so many sounds and instruments that it was basically unheard before. Video AGAIN was something that was never done before. So simplistic yet so complex and so intriguing at the same time. 

Thriller is widely considered to be his best song and it is his best song wether it was your favorite or not. 

Same goes for Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. It may not be your favorite song but it is definitely their best work. It is so legendary and so unique that it sets the standards.

I...don't think you understand what it means to be subjective and objective...

I completely understand BR's impact. I completely understand Thriller's impact, as well as Bohemian Rhapsody's. However, to say a song is the "Best" is completely subjective. Whether you like it lyrically, musically, and artistically is up to each individaul. You can argue the merits of a song, as well as its impact on pop culture, but saying that it is the "Best" is a subjective opinion. That can't be measured.

That's like saying, "Red is the best color" or that "The Mona Lisa is the best painting in the world" are objective as well. They're not. They're completely opinion-based.

Then let me say it differently.. Bad Romance is her most complex and intelligent piece of art that is considered by masses of real musical critics as her best and most profound song (same goes for Thriller and Bohemian Rhapsody). Opinion of educated critics is what really matters and there is a reason that song is on top of every list. It is not my favorite Gaga song but I still consider it to be her best one and if someone told me to give them one Gaga song that would perfectly describe her as a artist, I’d told them to listen to Bad Romance and not my favorite Gaga song which is Paparazzi.

That's a better way of putting it. Then again though, I still wouldn't even consider the opinion of educated critics all that  meaningful. Music, like movies, and art in general, is one of those subject areas where it's super subjective, so it's difficult to take everything an expert/critic says as absolute truth. Even if educated critics agree upon something, at the end of the day, music hits people in different ways; it's not a science.  

Now, if we're talking about charting and pop culture impact, that's a more objective stance. Even then though, pop culture impact is still pretty subjective. The only true objective observation you can really have about music is its charting history.

If you listen to this godly remix of Perfect Illusion that @KinneyUnderYou recommended me, you could hear the 80s synths that are present in both Blinding Lights and Perfect Illusion, and I was just imagining The Weeknd doing the PI chorus (It wasn't lav, it wasn't lav) he could definitely hit those notes.

Ironically, both songs are also about experiencing psychedelic visual trips (Blinding, Illusion).
