Cats’ Headed for $100 Million Box Office Loss

They tried to have it both ways on so many aspects of this movie:

-They tried to make a movie of a cult favorite Broadway show, but then made a bunch of changes to try to make it GP-friendly, rendering it disappointing to everyone

-They struck a weird middle-ground between full CGI and humans in costumes, making all of the characters look ridiculous

-They tried to hype Taylor's involvement so her fanbase would flock to the theatres, but gave her a pretty small role

It's almost impressive that the movie is simultaneously VERY weird and also safe as hell. Sometimes it isn't good to compromise.

Imagine spending millions of dollars in the hopes of making a Blockbuster film, but then having it end up being nothing but a cult film for the furry community.

 I genuinely want to see this movie, even more now that it's totally bombed. 

Edit: Wtf kind of poor planning leads to not being done with visual effects for a 100 million dollar movie 24 hours before its release?!

Love how the usual suspects are trying to pin this on Taylor when she’s like a tertiary character of the ensemble that literally only has one line  

Truth is, this movie has been predicted to flop since it was announced and even through all this mess, Taylor’s appearance in the movie is like one of the only scenes that got good feedback and people loved it 

Ms. Swift just can’t take an L whew
