I can remember going to walmart with my mother and we would always somehow end up by the music section. I vividly remember seeing the cover and thinking “who is she?” or “why does she look scary” and “why do I only see her eyes?” etc. It was just one of those photos that has managed to captivate me as a child. It’s funny how such a simplistic album cover that I saw when I was 5 yrs old managed to hold my interest and captivate me so much that now, at 15, its still the one image that I see when I hear her name or a song. Major credit to Gaga, Heidi Slimane, Formichetti, the Haus, etc for somehow coming up with such a beautifully dark and mysterious yet simple photo.
