THE PINKPRINT - 10/10

Not just saying this because Onika is my Queen... I really LOVE the album, she put so much thought and emotion into it. It's so organic, personal and cohesive + the overall production is so clean and fitting.

Nicki Minaj - The Pinkprint9/10

Her best album to date. She's definitely matured in sound, and although there are a few fillers here and there, overall it was a great listening experience and lots of potential smashes.

The Pinkprint - Nicki Minaj: 9/10

Nicki has matured a lot with this album, and there's the perfect mixture of bops and emotional songs. Although it contains some fillers, I really feel like it's a step up from her previous work  :legend:

The Pinkprint - Nicki Minaj

Rating: 81/100

This album is definitely her most mature sound to date. Her vocals have improved tremendously from Roman Reloaded, most notable in songs like I Lied and Grand Piano.

Standout tracks: I Lied, Feeling Myself, Get On Your Knees, Buy A Heart, Want Some More, Big Daddy

Worst tracks: Mona Lisa, Favorite, Win Again

Never Been Better - Olly Murs = 9.5/10

Idk, something about this album just works. This direction works for Olly. I'm just shocked and upset it was only released in the UK. I think some of the songs could have done well in the US and promoted the album effectively that it sold well in the US. I believe its his best album to date, definitely better than his last album (which was released in the US).

It's incomplete, but still...

Madonna -- Rebel Heart

I'm a fan of track-by-track reviews, so here goes.

1.) Living For Love -- Probably her strongest lead single since Hung Up. The 90's trance beat is awesome, and the background vocalist just lettin' the love flow through her adds to the track without distracting from Madonna's voice.

2.) Devil Pray -- I was not a tremendous fan of Madonna's cowboy-ish era (it was still cool, just not my favorite) until I heard this track. The dark, substance-abusey lyrics reached a depth I hadn't heard from her in a while, while renewing my interest and appreciation for her Music-era cowboyish-ness. Plus, that first beat drop?  :rip:

3.) Ghosttown -- This is the ballad we all wanted from Madonna. The vocals, the production, the lyrics. They're all so forward, and SO good. Need I say more?

4.) Unapologetic Bitch -- This was going to be a lead single, but I'm glad it wasn't. The reggae beat is funky in all the right ways, and is a new step for Madonna. And the dubsteppy break is a great --  and understated -- one.

5.) Illuminati -- I'm a sucker for potential controversy, so this track was right up my alley with the title alone. The idea of clearing up the misconception behind the Illuminati was genius, and bringing in Mr. Yeezus to produce was even more so.

6.) Bitch I'm Madonna (feat. Nicki Minaj) -- Alright, this album has officially made me a lifelong fan of Diplo. His production on this is the DEFINITION of slayage.  :legend: The pitched up vocals sound a tad odd to me (but not enough to mess with the song), but I have to say I preferred the solo demo. Not that the Nicki verse is bad or anything, it just feels out of place. Other than that, flawless track.

All in all, the best Madonna album since COADF. Gets a 10/10 from me, and I'm excited to hear the full thing.
