Ray of Light 8,134
Surprise! MDNA! Madonna's 12th studio album. She brought back Orbit after the lackluster and unhitched Hard Candy. I was excited. Everyone in the fan base was like "Ray of Light 2.0" "OMG HER TRUE COMEBACK" "OUTSELL THE FAME BITCH" Sadly, everything is not what it seems. The lyrics? Atrocious. Makes Holiday and LAV seem like biblical masterpieces. Her voice? A bit more genuine 80's Madonna. I enjoyed. The beats? Heavenly tbh. Overall? Not what I expect. Shame on you Madonna. She relied on effects too much, to the point where it seems like "William Orbit. feat. Madonna" It's a mediocre album, not to Madonna's standards tho. And I thought she couldn't get any less cohesive after Hard Candy... I was wrong. RATING: 6.9/10 DON'T BUY IT KIDS. BUY EROTIC TBH
PeterPan 0
I love these boards. Gives me a chance to hear about some artists and listen to their music. I listened to Lana Del Rey, Sky Ferreira and Lights. Lana Del Rey (Paradise) - found it to be too dull and boring, this makes me wanna sleep. I have no idea what all the hoopla on this board is about her but her music is SO BORING. I WAS BORED INTO TEARS. 4/10 Sky Ferreira- Not bad, somewhat entertaining 6/10 Lights- The Listening : It was okay 6/
Viola 386
Style - Namie Amuro 10/10 This album and Uncontrolled are tied for my #1 favorite album of hers. So Crazy (Mad Bear Remix) is amazing (bonus track). Seriously I can dance to that for hours. Come is also another amazing song off the album.Wishing on the Same Star is a beautiful ballad. I really love this album. Pantsu Nugeru Mon | Have Some Bi Rain
MusicHead 0
9/10 The songs are really great. Jake Bugg's music brings back the old-days vibe.
Skins 40
Tyler, the Creator - Wolf To be honest, I wasn't as impressed with Tyler's third studio album. To me, a lot of the songs sounded the same and lacked authenticity that his songs usually deliver. To me, it was kind of... boring. I was in fact impressed with the clean production that Wolf delivered, as Goblin and Bastard had some messy songs. At the end of the day, I only like a couple songs off the 18 track production. Highlight songs: Jamba, Domo23, Answer, Colossus, Partyisntover/Campfire/Bimmer, IFHY, Trashwang. 6.5/
Skins 40
Sleigh Bells - Treats I am in LOVE with this album. Although it could be repetitive, this album is so amazing. It brings a whole new genre/sound to the industry and is epic as hell. One of my favorite albums. Highlight Songs: Tell Em', Kids, Riot Rhythm, Infinity Guitars, Run the Heart, Rill Rill, Treats, A/B Machines, Crown on the Ground. 10/
Skins 40
Of Monsters and Men - My Head is an Animal I really love this album. This is the very first "folk" album I've listened to, and I was impressed. It is honestly flawless. Although this album maybe to slow for some people, for me the instruments flow together perfectly combined with Nanna BryndÃs Hilmarsdóttir's (lead guitarist/singer) amazing vocals. This album will go down in the classics. Highlight songs: Dirty Paws, King and Lionheart, Mountain Sound, From Finner, Little Talks, Six Weeks, Love Love Love, Your Bones. 9.6/
Aaliyah 41
Icona Pop - Icona Pop This is one of the best albums I've listened to, and I'm surprised I Love It is just now becoming famous. Icona Pop was only released in Sweden, while the Iconic EP was released in North America. When deciding which one to download, definitely go with finding a download of Icona Pop, because every song is amazing in its own way, and it definitely takes EDM to a different level with sounds not really heard anywhere else! Highlight Songs: Honestly there's no song that I could recommend over another, I just loved the whole album. 10/
Xavier Parker 0
I Am Not a Human Being II by Lil Wayne It got great songs on it, but there's also a huge amount of fillers. Would I recommend someone to buy it in full price? No thank you. If you want the singles, buy them. This album is just not for me nor it's worth more than a dollar. 6/10. n0ne 13,105
Save Rock and Roll by Fall Out Boy I'm so glad one of my favorite bands reunited and this was a perfect album to make a great comeback to. I love the new direction they maneuvered while still being the original and fantastic Fall Out Boy fans fell in love with. The album is overall catchy production-wise and lyrically and Patrick's vocal are on point. I think this album is a big step from Folie a Deux and will probably replace Infinity on High as my favorite album by them. I pre-ordered this album after hearing it and I never pre-order albums unless it's from the queen herself, Lady Gaga. I see big things coming with this album i.e. awards and possibly a Billboard #1 on the 200 chart. 9.5/10 "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. Otherwise, it turns to bile and poisons us"
Klou 2,414
Better than their last album, but still not good enough for me to buy. I did, however, love Only You and especially The Crow. I'd buy the latter if it were on US iTunes! 7/
half psychotic 79
8/10 I really love this album. Her voice is just so beautiful. The album is like a blend of jazz and folk and soul. I like how her voice can go from having like a light, feathery sound to being strong and powerful and soulful. I'd probably describe this album as easy listening. There isn't really any upbeat, fast-paced kind of songs. Highlights: Lost & Found, Forget, Au Cinéma, Forget (Solo in Paris), He Loves Me (Solo in Paris), Don't Wake Me Up, Elusive, Tease Me
Viola 386
10/10 I really love this album. I would love to see snsd live. Pantsu Nugeru Mon | Have Some Bi Rain
Tycho 3,694
Paramore - Paramore Rating: Amazing, 8/10 I think they did an amazing job on this album. I like to describe this album as a "grower", I didn't particular like the album upon first listen but after I re-listened to it I found I actually liked all of the songs on it. This album definitely has a different feel and sound compared to any of the other albums they've done and that's a good thing! I'm not that much of fan but I still was able to really enjoy this :) Highlights: Fast In My Car, Last Hope, Still Into You, Interlude Moving On, Ain't It Fun #BlackLivesMatter #TransLivesMatter - You let down members of the community and forced us out.
