The development of the brain has nothing to do with being racist. It may affect judgement but not reason That’s a ridiculous notion because right or wrong is simply who in society has the power to make it the dominating idea. So many people are sheltered and don’t stumble onto new ideas. You’re on the side that believes racism is harmful, which I am also on. Racism is conditioning from a young age, from many different sources. Children don’t see skin color and suddenly get uppity. That’s the power of indoctrinated racism and it’s easy to “cancel” this slayyter(dunno who she is, don’t care), but everyone should be allowed time to break free of conditioning. Some people will, some people won’t. She should be given the chance for an apology and if she wants to live a lie and is still someone who wants to spread this form of hate after being busted, she’ll get caught again. My youth was spent in the southern USA and I went from holding hands with black girls, Mexican girls, white girls in kindergarten to slowly being turned to a bully by a grandfather who was a red dragon in the KKK and a closet racist in my mother. Not to mention schools full of hateful kids who were programmed to think this way. I almost got my ass beat a couple times for talking trash and after I saw those people cry or show pain from my words, I changed back to my old self and I was barely 12. It didn’t take hold like it does in others. This was mid 90s. A lot of people say these teens should know better because they have the internet and I believe otherwise, because the internet is a million fold more toxic when combined with bad parents and bad schools. It is absolutely possible to be sheltered online.
KingRedd 3,139
Y’all. Glad she apologized but can we stop with the “all kids are a little racist” narrative y’all are trying to use to justify teen racism. I went to school with racist and I went to school with ones who were not. The ignorant teens were racist and thought it was funny and the mature ones were the opposite. Being a teen doesn’t give you a pass. Teens are not stupid hey are smart they know right from wrong. May I Read You? 😎

Okay Like, we technically are adults, but brain development-wise, we simply are not. Why is that so ridiculous? You’re making it seem like anyone under 26 years old is given a pass to be racist because their brains aren’t 100% done developing, which is ridiculous. No that wasn't my point. I exclusively commented on that part of your comment. Age is no excuse for racism, as I've already stated on a thread a few dayz ago
