Yeah, I've never been convinced that Gaga had any real beef with him. But I suspect she won't work with him again for the reason you pointed out—he just isn't producing hits anymore.

I don't even see why people here are that upset here as Konvict was not her main label producing her records. Much more like a sponsorship than real producing. 

I don't even think he said she would flop. He said something like "when you're that high, all that can happen is you can go down"—and it was clearly a reference to money and sales. And honestly, he wasn't wrong. Gaga is a bigger star now, arguably, than she was in 2010 when you factor in her impact, her versatile career moves, her awards, her place in the eyes of the GP, etc. (she was uber famous, but a big part of the GP saw her as a "fad" or Madonna rip off or that meat girl vs. 2019 where people see her as an established star)—but she's not selling as much and she probably will never match those million/near million opening weeks because of streaming.

It was cold AF, but I swear monsters make him and the whole thing way worse than it actually was....

Anyway, points:

1) He started speaking positively about her long before ASIB—this isn't just a coattail sort of situation. I'm not going to play little detective, but I remember him saying something nice about her in 2014 or 2015.

2) It was one comment about the business side, and it was cold as ice but it wasn't necessarily like "she's awful, I hate her" or anything like that. Also, he allegedly was going through personal and professional issues at that time—again, not going to play little detective, but I remember some music journalists talking about how Interscope was having issues with him.

3) LBR, Gaga probably was kind of a difficult during that time period, too.

4) He does a lot of charity.

Preach, Troy has a history of milking a succesful artist and dropping them in an instant when it seems their career may go downhill. He did it to Meghan Trainor.

That said, the assistant was some wealthy white girl who apparently barely worked for Gaga  and complained about having to buy and make Gaga food when she was working (which is pretty standard assistant sh*t) along with some other mundane things (can't remember them all...this was ages ago during the ARTPOP era).  I just remember the assistant, a wealthy white chick, compared grocery shopping to being a "slave" which is...gross.  Plus, Gaga said she stole from her and would call up designers asking for discounts using Gaga's name. All this was in the NY Post or NY Daily News, back in the day, but slanted pretty heavily against Gaga.

So...the assistant thing was a hot mess. I'm sure there's more, but that's the meat of it as far as I remember.

Yup. Also, Eve didn't call him out by name, but she basically said he embezzled from her back in the day. Something about a "main member of her team" and it was reported in music mags that she fired him. He was awful on multiple levels.

She also complained that gaga would make her sleep in the same bed. Seeing five foot two i can see why gaga wanted people near her. Fame can be so isolating, im sure gaga was feeling like she and her assistant were growinf a sisterly bond. Like the one she has with Sarah now. Nah that assistant went to town trying to tarnish gaga's reputation.

See, I never really bought that claim. Gags is obviously very physical, but she was with Taylor and had multiple people she was very close with her on tour...and some off tour. I just don't buy she'd ask her assistant, who hadn't worked for her that long, to share a bed to sleep in when she had her boyfriend and close friends if she was feeling lonely.

But yeah, I agree that girl tried to wreck Gaga's career. She had one valid point about the overtime, but the rest seemed like real BS and she seemed like a piece of work (still can't get over that an assistant complained about...having to get lunch/prepare lunch for their boss). Ironically, I think the judge barely awarded her anything...she probably lost money hiring lawyers to sue Gaga and all that.
