GoldDerby predicts two Grammy WINS for Gaga

Gold Derby is a site that compiles votes from voting experts, editors and members. While it is far from perfect, it has proven to be fairly accurate in their predictions. They usually have an accuracy rate of between 75% and 85%, sometimes above 90% for movies. Music is a more unpredictable field in terms of awards.

Anyway, the numbers represent top choices. The reason why some albums that have fewer top choices are placed higher is because some votes, for example from experts and top-24 members, have more weight than regular voters.

Best Compilation Soundtrack Written for Visual Media:

1. A Star Is Born - 953
2. Rocketman - 84
3. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - 18
4. Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse - 27
5. The Lion King - 18

Best Song Written for Visual Media:

1. Lady Gaga - I'll Never Love Again - 431
2. Beyonce  - Spirit - 109
3. Girl in the Movies - 9
4. The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy - 12
5. Suspirium - 7

Song of the Year:
5. Lady Gaga - Always Remember Us This Way

And that's not even to mention Til It Happens To You, a worse mess than the Skype Ball :triggered:

GoldDerby is somehow always wrong about her.

It's over, she's not getting these 2.

Edit: looking at the categories, she might actually get both. :huntyga: INLA more likely.

I feel like Soundtrack is more likely than Song though.

The soundtrack as a whole is really strong but again, we all thought it would get nominated for Album of the Year so.

GoldDerby keeps having faith in her no matter what happens.

We love a supporting award-predicting site!

I do think she might win the Soundtrack category honestly. I mean, none of the other nominees even come close to ASIB, let’s be real. There’s also the fact that it was a massive commercial success with a massively successful single, and we know the Grammys love that as well. So I do think she has that one in the bag at least.

Surely one is in the bag and I think with a landslide in terms of votes.  Those two categories she is in with a chance are pretty weak.

I haven't heard Lion King in full, is it good?

It’s not bad imo. It’s pretty good. Same with the rest of the nominees, I don’t think any one of those is bad they’re all pretty great. But ASIB is just on a whole other level really.

I don’t need to be Gold Derby when I can predict that some Beyonce stans already have one of Gaga’s tweets from 8 years ago in their drafts at the ready to quote and take out of context when she snatches that written media Grammy.

There’s literally no competition this year. I hope she wins both of these. :diane:

I feel like Rocketman is a minor threat. Rocketman has been receiving awesome reviews for both its music and acting performances. Taron Egerton also got nominated for Golden Globes and Critics' Choice for his performance. Elton John and his original song are also shortlisted for Best Original Song.

Of course they are still incomparable to the massive acclaim that is received by A Star Is Born, but a threat nonetheless.
