Is Adele's weight loss problematic?

But I wish we could just be happy for people or mind our own business.

It seems many comments saying how much better she looks now are just saying that because they personally like the way thinner bodies look.

Not because they celebrate health or care about her health or because they know for sure it wasn’t stress from divorce /drugs/surgery or whatever, but her own will and healthy exercise.

She didn’t comment on it yet and tabloids are talking about her “flaunting” and how unrecognizable she is. She does look like Sarah Paulson on those pics tho. 🤔

I hope that in 2020 more people will realize that the words of others can hurt only if you give them the power. Spoiler alert: going into great detail on why you're entitled to be hurt over something isn't gonna help you.

No it's not problematic and this comes from a person who also has problems with weight, as with if its beautiful or not, that depends on what you think is beautiful, however people should NEVER be rude to someone's appearance.

I kind of agree with the tweet.  Basically, the flip side is saying that your weight before was a problem and yay for conforming to societal norms -- though, with weight loss (if not fueled by mental illness), it can be a healthy thing to do.

Society's pressures versus what is considered healthy are very precarious.

Also, the tabloids suck.  The language they use to describe weight loss is problematic and always hyping... "slim" "skinny" "single and ready to mingle" "festive weight loss" "incredible weight loss"  Why can't they just say "Here's Adele...looks like she lost weight...cool story, bro."

I've always thought that she looked like Sarah ever since she started getting "smaller" years ago.

How do people don't get it? Adele will reinvent jerself, starting from her stage name which will be Lady Adda and will change the pop landscape (two sequins at a time) with her most personal to date and very dark pop album The Adele Monster.

It sucks tbh I think she looks good either way, she’s got a beautiful face and her personality and voice are great too. She looks happy and I’m assuming she’s probably healthy as she always was before so. I do see the Sarah Paulson comparisons tbh.

She’ll probably talk about it the next time she has a major interview I think.

It’s a case by case - no one would be congratulating her if she lost weight because of a physical or mental illness but she is clearly happy and healthy.  That is worth celebrating.

So now we can’t be happy for people who reach a goal in their life after a hard work.

Complementing someone on their weightloss is not a bad thing. I would even highly recommend complimenting someone on their weightloss (if they are happy with it). It’s hard work and gives them such a confident boost! I was truly happy when someone asked me if I lost weight and congratulated me on it.

What you want Lady Gaga🥂 What you want with Christina🥂
