Nobody but newbie or super old person is using their main e-mail or work e-mail for registering stuffs like that. We would use our burner email address for that. The one that were set up and designed exclusively just for that purpose.

Cos people can track you. Everything connected to your main e-mail will likely show up on simple google search even. You better change your e-mail for that account, and social media too, if you are using the same address, quickly.

Besides, by using main e-mail, you are risking your informations in there, perhaps all sensitive e-mails with other people, pictures, banking/e-commerce receipts, etc, to be hacked into.

With using burner addresses, it will at least minimize that risk of getting exposed and hacked.

Also, more and more job interviewers today are also tracking your internet footsteps aside from your academical and employment history. If your Twitter or facebook are messy, gurl.., that is a red flag for them.

I use my main email but no one else has access to it  Even if they did, there’s not really anything juicy on my account. I don’t send nudes on grindr and most of my messages are from discreet and old guys  If it wasn’t the holidays I probably would’ve deleted it again by now
