All you need is the person's email, then you can go to "Forgot password" section, and you type in the email. If the user has an account, it'll confirm that an email is sent, but if the user doesn't have an account it'll say "Oops something went wrong!". Grindr should NOT give two different responses. In fact, all other serious social networks give a common message something along the lines of "If your email is indeed registered with us, you'll receive an email...". Grindr doesn't take your safety and privacy seriously, especially in places where being gay can expose you to harm. You may wanna delete your account and sign up with a fake email.
