Has anyone watched this yet? I've been waiting so long for this to come out  It's an easy binge, only 3 episodes of about 1 hour each. It's based Canadian murdered Luka Magnotta.

Warningthere is animal cruelty in the doc because he filmed all the heinous acts and posted them online. Some things are blurred but others are shown. It's extremely disturbing.

That being said, it's one of the best true crime docs I have ever seen. The level of commitment from Luka just so he could get his 15 minutes of fame is insane. I was pretty informed on the case since it happened close to home, but there's this twist at the end that left me beyond shook :air: I also had no idea there was a whole group of people that were running their own investigation online :cryga:

 Watch the trailer below:

So was the twist at the end never disclosed to the public before?

I'm not sure if it was disclosed but I had never came across it when I followed the case in 2012. In the spoiler below:

Spoiler

Essentially he was obsessed with pop culture and the ENTIRE murder and everything leading up to it was based on the movie Basic Instinct. He was basically "the star" of his own movie as the cops were saying. He played the part of the main character, killed the guy the same way the murder is done in the movie and even left clues here and there so people could figure out what he was doing.

This does look very hard to watch but I admire the heroism of internet sleuths. A certain brand of liberalism proposes that  we should shut up about all bad things on the internet. But through that kind of censorship, you take away people's opportunity to do this sort of crime-stopping sleuthing. That's one reason why I support having some places on the internet with  (almost) complete free speech. If this guy's videos were taken down automatically he would never have been caught.  Yes they should definitely be taken down but the fact that some ppl saw them meant there were witnesses.  If every person who talked about this guy was immediately banned and had their comments deleted, he would never have been caught. We must be allowed to drag darkness into the light.

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3

Hm I dont see a reason to watch that. Ive watched Ted Bundy : Conversation with a killer on Netflix bcs he was so infamous back then (by the way no graphic images) but I dont see the point in seeing graphic  images of a man killing cats and animals... Or why they chose to show the graphic images? This is just weird

Now I've seen the documentary I feel like this mentality is actually very questionable. I don't want to give spoilers but it really makes you wonder if internet sleuthing is actually damaging. You should watch it, hard watch but not as bad as I thought

So yeah, just watched it. Thought it was really interesting. The ending was brilliant how Deanne turns to the camera, very thought provoking.

The crossed legs, the cig...everything. Just so...wow. Left me shook. So many questions though, the hand, his mum...I dunno, all very weird.

I just cant get the image of the cat in the bath out of my head, feel like I could cry. Think that'll stay with me for a long time.
