Except that LG6 is not going to be a pop album 

It’s going to be a mainly rock/country album and I’m here for it 

After watching some Joanne interviews and Five foot two she seems much more into making more mature songs and being all about the music and that’s all I care about at this point. I mean she’s already such a legend and she has nothing to prove, even after her career was considered over she proved everyone wrong with ASIB so she can do whatever inspires her and makes her happy

I was just saying that was not very objective. Even if Lover was a good album, one good album can’t make the whole year good. Like, i’d never say 2016 was a good year only cause Gaga released Joanne, and i love Joanne.

I kinda doubt it. From the look of things, rock music will be the one taking over after Hip-Hop/Rap. All bands will taking over. There are quite a few catalysts, MCR and Rage Against The Machine reuniting, John Frusciante is returning with RHCP, and this year alone, TOOL and Slipknot managed to be #1 sales album. These are only little things that happened. 

Even Rina Sawayama is using rock element for her new song.

Pop is not dead but it won't be on the forefront again yet, I feel. Those that may gain attention are the one with alternative edge to them. But it doesn't matter if you only exclusively listened to Pop Girls. The world is not spinning the same way for you. But don't be surprised if the chart topper are rarely pop girls.

OFC these will not apply to anomalies such as Gaga, Adele, Beyoncé, Rihanna, or TS, since they are having loyal audience, which is a great investment cos they will always sail through no matter what season it is.

Beyoncé, Adele, Lana and Taylor are releasing so it will help save the physical and digital aspect of music in 2020.

If we’re being honest, their debut album could have been an EP (cut off after the first six tracks). Anything after the first half of the album is totally a filler. “Tainted Love” was a good cover, but that’s just it, it’s a cover. 

Their second album was also just rejects from Nicole’s failed debut album Her Name Is Nicole. Once again, only a few tracks beyond the singles are good. I wish they could just do EPs and have a solid body of work.

I'm with @Ryusei on this one. 2019 was an amazing year for music. Not only did I discover Billie's and Poppy's music, but other artists - from which I thought would never like - released stuff I enjoyed listening to  . So yes, 2019 was a great year for music from my perspective, especially if you compare it to 2018 ( that year was - except for a few albums - mostly tragic garbage that sounded the same  ).

And to y'all saying 2019 was meh at most: I'm sorry there wasn't music you could enjoy listening to, so I hope it'll change for you in 2020  .

Trust me, BloodPop, SOPHIE, HANA, Boys Noize, probably Skrillex and more, won't do anything country or rock without it being EDM or Pop. 

Just because she released two country/folk/rock inspired albums doesn't mean she wants to release more "mature" music. She loves pop as much as we do, she just doesn't want to be making the same music over and over. But I'll support whatever she decides to release, I just pretty much know LG6 will be loved by the fans, I have that strong ass feeling and I hope I'm not wrong.
