While Lady Gaga brought a lot to “A Star Is Born,” her first major motion-picture, the film, which has grossed nearly $435 million worldwide, arguably brought her a lot more. As the hits in her musical career have dropped off, she’s doubled down in other areas. She proved herself to an entirely new audience in a 2015 [2014*] duets album with Tony Bennett. Her lucrative and eye-popping concert extravaganzas (the latest tour, “Joanne,” grossed $95 million) led to the Super Bowl halftime stage and a Las Vegas residency worth a reported $100 million. And now she’s an Oscar-nominated [winner*] actress as well. Albums? Who needs ’em? The ardent LGBTQ supporter has also pledged to “fully fund” classrooms in Dayton, El Paso and Gilroy after the 2019 shootings.

I remember a comment a couple of days ago how Gaga and Lana always receive praises filled with shady remarks/backhanded compliments. This is a perfect example of that.
