The Solution to Will Call!

I went to the Scottrade box office in St Louis, and they wouldn't give me mine. I said "Have fun when over 2000 people arrive at the box office at the same time in demand of their tickets." Pissed me off.

If I'm able to get it when I arrive EARLY in the morning when I arrive my life will be made because I want to get in the Monster Pit. Thanks for the hope.

You are very welcome. To be safe, some of the booths don't open until after 12noon depending on the venue and day of the event so just keep in that mind when you arrive. Ticketmaster can't expect everyone to get their tickets at Will Call at the same time (1 hour before the event starts) because their Box Office would be flooded will over 2000-3000 people at once. They advertise it wrongly; that 1 hour before the show thing pretty much implies you have up until 1 hour before the show starts to pick up your tickets. Anything after and they dispose of them. In any event, I think you'll be fine :)

Before anyone panics - that is absolute nonsense. Neither TM or any box office will dispose of any tickets booked and paid for, if they are uncollected they remain uncollected. The 1 hour before show thing is basically just to cover themselves, they do not control the box offices. The reality is will call tickets can be picked up the day of the show, almost always as soon as the box office opens - a time which will vary from venue to venue but will be well ahead of show time.

It's funny you mention that because when I called Ticketmaster before the rep that I got told me that they discard tickets that go uncollected. Of course, rules always change but that's what I was told before.

Ultimately they will, but only after the box office closes (which won't be until shortly before Gaga hits the stage). While the box office is open nothing will be discarded.

I'm still confused on this whole "will call" thing. What exactly IS will call? and since you can only pick them up like, 2 hours prior to the event, does that mean i don't get to camp out in line 3 days before the show..?lmao

Will call means you can only pick up tickets the day of the event and you don't need to wait until 2 hours before. You can get them as soon as the box office opens.

Yup you should be fine as long as you have ID and the Card you used to buy the tickets with.

Of course. No one should have a problem with that. If not, take it up with the venue.

I dont know if this will help you or not but try calling Ticketmaster and only tell them that that you would like to change your tickets from willcall to delivery. Just be kind of casual about it. That what I did and it worked. If ot doesnt just keep calling, because I think it might just depend on who the customer service person is and what theyve been told.

this is what I plan on doing....waiting with friends and going up and getting the tickets early (if they let me)

I wrote an email to ticketmaster on Monday describing the situation and How scottrade refused to print my tickets off and yesterday I received an email back saying "you're all set. Your tickets will be arriving by standard mail in 10-14" days. Before that, the lady on the phone said she's emailing them to me, and they changed their mind and voided that and still charged me 2.50. I'm happy their arriving in the mail though.

Ugh, I think Ticketmaster changed my tickets back to Will Call after they told me they would be delivered. Dang.

Edit: Okay they are still being delivered. Close call.
