If you say it's on trend, I'll take your word for it. I guess exposed roots are comparable to intentionally torn jeans in that way. It just looks unfinished and uncommitted for someone with her resources. But she seems happy, so, who cares? :)

It looks natural imo. Like she knows that’s not her real hair color, she’s not trying to pass it off as real (Which to me looks childish/less professional... like this vs this)

It made me smile how genuinely happy she seems in this video. I don't think many people realise how genuine and sweet she is either. She's just someone I'd want to sit down and chat about life with.

the right eye blink, where she only blinks one eye … ?

i never know definitive intentions, but it just reminded me of fritz lang’s metropolis … especially in relation to the palette being titled fame … since metropolis was an anchor motif for the fame … neither here nor there, just aesthetic association…

which … brings the fame tutorial right eye blink back to metropolis in allusion to the clone maria’s tell …

tumblr-o78w637-Gch1vsniydo1-500.gif

but again, it was just blink reaction, aesthetic association … not binding or anything, just for the sake of and s/o to nostalgic geeks

Interesting, never thought of that reference!

She did it to me once in concert. Looked me in the eye and winked for what felt like an eternity. I'm pretty sure my jaw was on the floor. I wish I could do this, it's so cool and sexy in a way.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

I guess it's just a preference of style. Pass me the pink bowl.

I have exposed roots too. I love the look of bleached blonde and the contrast with dark brows and roots. Has an 80's messy vibe. But it's also because bleaching is so bad for your hair, you find ways to rock the roots. I think gaga likes the messy punky look atm, wants to keep it healthy  and may have dyed her hair pink because shes transitioning to dark hair (for the movie?) but wants to have some fun with it while it's still blonde enough to put bright colors on top.

I feel the exact same way. I sometimes I crave going dark but I know I can't go back to blonde very easily after that. I know that when I do, I first want to a bright put colour in it.

I'm sure exposed roots looks beautiful on you, but to be fair, I don't hold you to the same standard as a CFDA Fashion Icon Award recipient who is in the middle of launching a multi-million dollar beauty empire with a team of stylists who work around the clock to make her look perfect.

To me, her current hair reads as unfinished and noncommittal, as opposed to this look which was pink with exposed roots, but less pedestrian.

But again, she looks beautiful, and it's just about preference.

it's true. but my pal, derrida, says you can't  really have access to the punctuality of a "here and now" moment, so it doesn't matter if you think that you can exist outside this forum or that i value it too much (which i don't as i'm rarely here, plus nostalgia is for geeks), pure presence of any kind (of yours or mine) is impossible. all we have is the medium of language that always-already pre-empties its subjects ("us"). the "i" of you and me is a grammatical function, which is why it is unable to provide acces to any kind of self-same essence. the "you" that you're so proud of is, at best, metaphysical, but, in another sense, doesn't really exist. then again, nor do i. :flower:

can't believe it, today was the first time I read up on post-structuralism and here i see it on GGD - not that any of what you said made sense :flower:

Okay, finally watched the full video. Nikkie and LG have a great rapport. It seemed like they were having a lot of fun! I don't think this was that great of a makeup tutorial, as I didn't really learn anything from it about doing makeup, but I doubt anyone was watching it to learn how to do makeup – the value of this video is in the conversation between them while Nikkie happens to be dong her makeup. Gaga has a fab sense of humor. She knows people are clamoring for LG6 and she's having so much fun teasing them.

But for real, I'd totally be here for a polka and classical piano album!

Also, did anyone catch LG's hint that the Glam Attacks are going to come out with brighter colors compares to the eyeshadow palettes?

I have no interest in makeup at all.
But I just watched this entire video and I loved every minute of it.
I could watch these 3 for hours. I found it very relaxing for some reason  :nick:

Although her channel says "NikkieTutorials", but her video just said "Doing LADY GAGA's Makeup!". So I don't think people can complain why is it a tutorial when we learn nothing about how to do the makeup. :trollga:

She's an absolute troll at the end of the video. Am I supposed to be annoyed? But why am I laughing so much and feeling like she's just a friend?

To be clear, *I* wasn't complaining about that. Initially, I assumed it would be a tutorial based on the channel name, but I was relieved that it turned out to be more of a conversation. Trust me, if LG is onscreen, I'd rather watch them banter and joke around than have Nikkie explain what size eyeshadow brush she's using. If I want to watch a makeup tutorial, I'll do it Gaga-free, as she's too distracting.

Yea, I can't believe how much I love this video. She's so natural and funny here.

Me three. I have exposed roots too and I’m so proud of it. my hair is exactly the way I intended after I bleached it. I’m loving it.
