But really, a joke about Koreans eating dogs is considered racist? Not all of them do, obviously, but yes, some Koreans eat dog meat, it gets served in restaurants. The joke is perhaps in bad taste (but more of the animals sake) but racist? It's making fun out of something in a culture, not a race. Is a joke like that really worth reporting? That's highly over-sensitive. It would at least make sense if she actually was Korean. If she wants her claim to be taken more seriously, there has to be more substantial stuff than that. Shocked I'd never heard about this until now. The one where he's patting and cupping her is next level awkward, her reaction and expressions are painful to see. As Louis is apparently gay, this suggests nothing more than a classic power play, which is still disgusting. People who do this stuff in plain sight really concern me. He certainly hasn't been the first to grope a woman in full view of a camera. The fact everyone moves on and laughs is truly a reflection of the sad times we live in. What's even sadder is that, even when a woman takes control, stops everything and loudly proclaims that she's being inappropriately touched by someone, nothing is done. Totally flies in the face of the theory a lot of men give that goes something like "if she just told him to stop or told someone, he never would have done it again." Reality is that a lot of people think you're being unreasonable or it's just a bit of fun. And I just realised that when this clip aired, this was probably around the time Mel was getting abused by her now ex-husband. Poor woman must have felt she just couldn't trust men back then. It’a mind boggling to me that any commentary on another culture is immediately considered “racist.” Koreans straight up eat dog. Maybe less these days, and maybe they’re embarrassed about that being common in their history but it still happens/ed. Are we supposed to pretend it didn’t happen because they are ashamed of it now?
