Well these positions are more understandable when you include many genres unlike billboard. 
Although they seemed to chart the most popular albums by artist 

I’m pleased Melodrama was placed so high despite being labeled as Pop, it will be remembered and be the key record that will secure Lorde’s career. Melodrama forever

The reception of that album is so much better in retrospect and this has been happening for years. There are even critics that admitted that that they were too harsh, either directly or in her latest albums reviews. People need to remember how BTD came out at around the time of her SNL when she was getting major backlash.

I don't think it's NFR per say but the way she evolved artistically and continued to release more and more albums and finally could see behind the BTD persona. If they were that much about NFR they would have put it in the top 20 instead of BTD.
