Despite being released in 2008 The Fame is the top performing Dance Electronic Album of the 2010s decade

It even beat out Daft Punks "Random Access Memories" which was released this decade

This decade it spent a total of  62 weeks at #1 in the Dance Electronic category with a total of 108 if we count 2008/2009 as well

The Fame deserves it! An iconic debut album. Not surprised to see it at #1. Gaga always slay these Dance charts

Of the decade?? And it didn't even come out this decade?? Talk about legend :ohwell:

I mean there weren't that many big name releases for that genre this decade excluding maybe daft Punk so the competition was limited... It was a bigger genre in the late 2000s and The Fame was the biggest album of that genre

Still tho, it's a big achievement regardless... Shows it kept selling and had longevity

Gagaism

This is crazy. Like, we had many EDM new artists, songs and albums this decade and she still remains unbothered.

Gaga reinvented pop music with EDM influences in a way that only her know how it’s done. Legend indeed.

:golfclap: Well deserved. The Fame is definitely her best album (IMO), and it really should’ve won album of the year.

I still like TFM the most followed by BTW :emma:

The thing with The Fame is I dunno... I mostly just liked the singles a lot as well as Star Struck

I also liked Eh Eh, Paper Gansta and BoysBoysBoys but they aged badly to me and now I think they are just ok songs... And songs like Summer Boy and Again Again to me are just boring

Basically I don't care for half the album... Kind of like ARTPOP and ASIB :rip:

The only albums I like almost every song on is TFM, Born This Way and Joanne

The fact that so many EDM artists rose during 2013-2015 (when Gaga was in a low with ARTPOP) and now they’re nowhere to be found :ohwell:

To each their own. I personally find that all of the songs on this album still slap, but I also haven't listened to it all the time over the years so I'm just now getting into it again.
