HeavyCapiLover 3,556
I was like 8 when she started to blow up. I still remember the day I heard Just dance for the first time at the end of 2008, I was at my cousin's house and he said to me and my sister "have you listened to that crazy girl Lady gaga?". I was shook of how a bop just dance was and I loved it. But then my sister made me listen to poker face and OMG it's one of the rare song that got me listening to it on repeat a hundred of times I was OBSESSED. But her videos kinda shocked and scared me, I remember watching the paparazzi MV in a bar I was with my grandma and she said to me "don't watch what's on TV that could cause trouble to you" just when I saw the scene of dead bodies. I was traumatised lmao and I wouldn't want to watch music videos anymore for months Bad Romance and Telephone video made me think that she was completly insane but I was obsessed with her songs. I only started to stan her in 2015 when I understood her craziness.
zebrastripes 969
I actually thought that Poker Face was creative and liked that and Just Dance. Was playing in the gym in High School. I was like "Whoaaaa" when she was getting all sexy and stuff in the video. Didn't follow her until "Alejandro" was released.
Chromaticunt 5,529
I thought her music was chavvy. But I was intrigued by her and then I listened to Boys Boys Boys and realised she definitely wasn't a popstar for the straights.
Esteban 2,300
It was my first year in highscool and I thought she was another mainstream pop girl. Her first singles reminded me of Inna or Cascada, I thought it was cheap, in bad taste and generic.. Then came Paparrazzi at the vma's

Bloody Matt 5,357
Always loved her. I remember watching the JD music video and thinking she already looked like a star.

I was a teenager thinking that blonde singers were boring or “always the same”. Then people started saying that I looked like Gaga when she had black hair and looking for that photos I discovered the “Eh eh (Nothing else I can say)” music video and I loved her. Then Born this way talked to me too. But I went into a noise/alternative era so I missed all the best Gaga’s eras, just becoming a real stan and understanding her for real (and myself) after watching 5F2. Siena 6,260
I heard Just Dance on the radio and I was 10 and had no idea what she looked like or who she was. But for someone reason something clicked with me and I was really intrigued so I googled her when I was home and the first pic I ever saw of her was Idk what it was but I automatically loved her
yes and 4,884
I remember people and mass media speculating a lot about her being a man. I was in school and I can clearly remember how children listened to JD and PF, she was sooo mainstream, I even downloaded some of her songs without liking them, I just wanted to be like everyone else . Later, BR was released and she was literally everywhere. Also, I can recall me watching 'Telephone' music video and being like, "what an ugly transexual...". Two years later, she has become my #1 singer for life Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No
Daylight Jokers 14,958
I was 12 when Poker Face was being played on the radio for quite a couple times a day. She was never really criticized for her looks or her eccentric styles in my country. I thought she was a great pop star just cuz she can actually sing, tho I was pretty anti-pop back then. She was ridiculed and almost got banned after the Judas music video tho. I remember that song being stuck in my head for weeks. I was in love with it. She regained fame with INLA and Shallow last year. I was 19 when I became a huge fan of her coz of Joanne.
pop a 911 3,658
I was in 7th grade, and I remember I was cleaning my room, listening to Sirius Hits 1 and Just Dance had just come out and every 30 min it would play. For some reasons I pictured Lady Gaga being black. Boy was I shocked when the album came out and I saw she wasn’t. Now I’m 23. Boy has this been an amazing ride. i’ve been so lonely in this field, fighting a battle with no shield
