Are radio release dates considered for Grammy eligibility too?

So for Lizzo’s case. (And Post Malone last year too)

Truth Hurts was released as a single back in 2017. But was never submitted.

But due to the rules, she was able to submit it this year as an album cut/track from her Cuz I Love You record released back in April this year. So that’s cleared out.

What if it’s in reverse. What if a song is not submitted as an album cut during the album’s/song’s eligibilty period. But as a radio single instead.. basically I’m asking. Are Radio Release Dates in the criteria of consideration too?

For example.

For the Grammys 2012.

Marry The Night could still be eligible as a contender. Either as an album cut or a single. Cause it’s still inside the “until September 2011 releases” of the submissions’ eligibility. But it wasn’t right? It wasn’t.

Now. It was released as a RADIO SINGLE in November 15, 2011, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marry_the_Night it’s out of the 2012 Grammys eligibility period already. But that particular date has now entered the Grammys 2013 eligibility period.

Being released on radios, is that included on rules which allows a song to be a “separate entity” making it eligible for another Grammy period but not as an album cut, but as a SINGLE. Does a radio date take part in it?

Do they consider Radio release dates?

No. iirc it's because the album it was on was submitted the previous year. It's the reason Adele won for the live version of Set Fire To The Rain in 2013 as the album it was on was submitted (and won) in 2012.

Gaga sis put Marry The Night and Venus on LG6 again @BorisIsHere

Not related at all but I wonder if Marry the Night it's too demanding for her to sing? I mean, like Perfect Illusion, cause she seems to forget about that masterpiece of a song's existence :air: it's been 3 years since she sang it, she needs to put it on Enigma  2.0:grr:
