You managed to make school shooters the victims. Congratulations.

You managed to A) misunderstand what was said b) twist the narrative to fit what you wanted it too. Congratulations.

You managed to do exactly A and B in your initial post. Congratulations.

Since it’s not a white guy it won’t get near as much media attention. Inner city shootings happen every day, and kids are dying to gang violence and shootings everyday, but the whole country turns its head to that. No one takes accountability in the inner city community. But if it’s a white guy- then everyone freaks out.

Probably because white peoples' motives are usually super simple.

Bullied kid getting revenge, psycho looking to do as much harm as possible, or alt-right nut trying to make some kind of statement.

It's easy to plaster that on the nightly news, it's much harder to explain why inner city crime is such a problem, why desperation of that caliber even exists in a nation this rich and powerful, how race ties into it, and how we can go about repairing scars that are generations old. Older than the country itself.

The intellectual dishonesty in saying white shooters are somehow victims of media coverage.....

If it was an Arab student cable news pundits would be asking if terrorism is a motive.

Spare me the white victim narrative.

Again- you are spiraling out of control with your narrative here. I’ll clarify since you need it. The media only makes a big deal of shootings if it’s a white shooter. People, particularly white liberal voters, only demand the government to change If it’s a white shooter affecting white schools- when shootings have been taking lives in the inner city at a higher rate for decades. The post is about pointed outrage and the inability to come up with a solution. Nothing at all is said about the shooter themselves and how they are a victim. So please, if you don’t understand what’s being said, don’t twist it to fit what you want it to. Thanks.

False. I provided an example that negates your statement.

Inner city shootings have been happening forever to the point it’s normal.

School shootings are becoming the new normal. Every new shooting gets less news coverage than the last.

Violence is spreading everywhere and we need to do something about it.

Lol. Ok sweetie. You obviously haven’t done research on gun violence and where the most lives are lost- age groups, race, demographics. When you are equipped with information then we can have a conversation. I’m not going to entertain someone who has one agenda and lacks the knowledge to back it up.

Did I ever say inner city gun violence isn’t where the most deaths are? No, I did not.

I was addressing your white victim narrative that is false. Read the post above.

I will not entertain a conversation with someone who is spreading a dangerous narrative that only makes martyrs of these people who are already in a bad mental state.

Gun control is a problem. Gun reform needs to happen. But we, as a society need to quit only being outraged when it’s a white shooter. Case in point- there are typically only threads on this very website when it’s about another shooter walking into a school or Walmart. Then the threads disappear. The conversation stops until the next one happens. Guess what? People are dying from gun violence every day. Quit with the pointed outrage.

Do research. VOTE. Know your candidates. If you have any apathetic people in your life that stand strongly against gun violence but are too busy or just don’t care enough to vote- push them along. Motivate them. But quit being outraged with no solution.

We cry, we pray, we send thoughts, we get mad, we move on, another shooting happens and we do it all again. Same old craps, nothing change.

And yet you have not yet once said or quoted where I’ve made any sort of reference to a shooter being a victim. Why? Because it didn’t happen. You misunderstood what I said and then decided to stick with it out of trying not looking stupid. Just drop it.
