Erase the Existence: Songs

Bad Romance and Dance In The Dark. Gaga had plenty of other good songs to choose from that it wouldn't have mattered honestly if these two never existed. I find the production monotonous while Gaga's other songs (Paparazzi, Alejandro, Do What U Want) have more dynamics and are more melodic.

I... actually kind of like this song lmaooo t's really fun and she sounds great. A great direction for her, alongside NRO (the superior single, but both better than Small Talk).

But, as somebody that also identifies as Islander, there are so many aspects of this song that is so corny and tone-deaf to me. Particularly with the recent events in Hawai'i regarding the desecration of indigenous lands, and also the overall history of mili-tourism destroying the region itself... it just wasn't the greatest choice tbh

Lmao I KNOW. I don't even know who Lukas Graham is or listened to any of his other songs but that one fills me with inexplicable rage everytime it comes up :laughga:

SINGLE LADIES! I hate this song sooo much, it's so annoying, the people vibing to it are annoying, I'm annoyed. I left a club when Single Ladies came on and went home.

@Miel Fabulous, multi-dimensional response as usual.

LOL

I'm surprisingly a poptimist when it comes to Katy in 2019, even after disliking her music for a few years. NRO really is a monster of a pop song, and did decent as a minor segue to getting back into the pop realm. HIH's composition should have definitely followed, although I would have changed the subject matter of the song altogether.

Maybe it's his tone of voice when he's singing in conjunction with the really cheesy storytelling aspect of the song's lyrical narrative, but I just... cannot reconcile any love for the song :laughga: I don't know if I've ever felt such a way for a song before LOL

Sorry but I have to disagree on this one. Gaga would not be where she is today if it weren't for Bad Romance. The success she had with The Fame and especially Poker Face was huge, but Bad Romance was on another level.
