A nomination is secured I think. A win is 50-50. Can’t wait for Nov 20. :excited2:

Does it matter? Damage is done

Do you realize this a combined prediction of multiple users? It’s just what people are predicting, GD isn’t saying this is what will happen.

But they kind of are...it’s their prediction about which is likely to win. Sure, they’re not saying it’s FOR SURE going to happen, but literally no one knows for sure until the night of the awards. They’re predicting what will happen, and in their eyes what MIGHT for sure happen.

They said she would win Best Actress for months

No, shortly before the Oscars, Glenn Close was predicted to win.

I feel like she’s gonna get glenn close’d. Nominated for AOTY(Her 3rd AOTY nomination), but will be lost to other albums just because our luck sucks lmao I’m still feeling optimistic though

I feel like we should get through the nomination first before we hope for a win. She might win it, but first she needs to be nominated.

I would love Gaga to win AOTY for ASIB ofc but another part of me is also upset that if she does win it's not for her solo pop work...let's be honest the recording academy have snubbed her of her deserving wins numerous times - she should have won AOTY for the fame monster, PERIOD.

Highly unlikely I think, we’ve had a lot of reliable sources saying no music till Q2 2020. Plus she wasn’t on Universal FR’s release schedule.

i also honestly don’t think they’ll win any GRAMMYs sadly, as hopefully as we want to be I just can’t see it

I honestly think these sources' claims are not exactly legit, like Gaga makes and changes decisions everyday. If she wanted to release next week, she could literally make a couple of phone calls and make that happen.

I'm actually really confident in A Star Is Born, the album has a perfect combo of impact, sales and acclaim and there's also Gaga in there which should make a difference. There's no doubt that the album MUST be nominated (they'll be crazy if they wont) and it's going to bother the other contenders (it has good chances to win and if it does, I don't think anyone will complain)

She still wrote, created and performed the music. I don't think it's any less honourable.

I feel like TUN and Billie Eilish are her biggest competitors. Now Billie Eilish is acclaimed universally, and is a phenomenal sensation over the past year. But let's be honest, I can imagine the Grammy academy, which is apparently consisted of white middle-aged men, going

"We love Billie's creativity, but she hasn't a legacy as huge as other artists like Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. Also, all that Halloween gimmicks? Very interesting, but she can't produce proper live vocals like Gaga and Swift do. Do we really want Billie Eilish, a new artist, to win AOTY with her first attempt, which isn't even as huge as The Fame, and let some of the biggest legends in pop music like Gaga, to go home empty-handed? Besides, ASIB is raw, emotional, has sensational vocals from gigantic names like Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper,  made for a movie nominated for 8 Oscars, including Best Picture."

TS already won twice, and Reputation was much bigger than Lover. I can see Lover getting a nom because of its positive reviews, but its lack of longevity in comparison to Rep and 1989 doesn't seem to justify a win.

Ariana is of course a competitor. But again, while Ariana is so freaking huge, TUN is still bubble-ish pop music that is just pleasant to bop to. The album that really hits you to the guts and makes you cry is ASIB, and has some of the best ballads we've heard in years. And we know Grammys love emotional ballads (Say Something winning over Dark Horse, Kacey Musgraves winning AOTY, Sam Smith and Adele sweeping). And also, are we really comfortable living in a world calling Ariana Grande an Album of the Year winner, when Lady Gaga a four-time AOTY loser?

I wasn't saying that it was less honourable - I love ASIB and it totally deserves all it's accolades and noms but if it can potentially win AOTY, I don't understand how the fame/the fame monster failed to. The recording academy have a huge problem when it comes to awarding female artists who take risks in the 4 major categories, Gaga being a prime example.

You could have also included Joanne as another example of them appreciating emotional ballads. Like I said, A Star Is Born can be a serios threat

Gaga can boost her chances of winning by releasing a well-received lead single though. ASIB promoted Joanne, equally LG6 could promote ASIB.

Well when The Fame Monster and The Fame were released, Gaga was still relatively a new artist. Maybe they just felt uncomfortable at rewarding someone so new.

Now in 2019, it's a different story. Gaga has proven her legacy and everyone respects and adores her.
