'folie a deux' is in my opinion the last good fall out boy album, and in fact i'd even say that after 'folie a deux', they sold out 

but i totally agree, 'infinity on high' is an incredible album back to front (i'm like a lawyer... is my favourite song from the album), even if i am a major 'from under the cork tree' stan

Paramore! Always and forever. Been listening to them for at least 13 years, they continue to evolve as musicians and definitely have moved past the emo explosion of the early 00s.

Yes, I haven't care much for anything they've put out after folie a deux. 

Same thing sort of happened with Linkin Park, not sure if you are a fan, but aside from two or three songs on various albums, their first four albums are imo some of the best musical material ever. And just about everything afterwards has been...not it.

oh i totally get you, american beauty/american psycho was okay but both save rock and roll and mania were worryingly... awful 

it's difficult for anything to be able to compete with infinity on high and from under the cork tree though, those songs are among my favourite of all time, especially since i'm a sucker for mid-2000s pop punk 

and yeah, with linkin park i only really loved hybrid theory, meteora, minutes to midnight and a thousand suns.... but yeah, i wasn't nearly as much of a fan of living things, the hunting party or one more light

as previously mentioned, i didn't really categorise by genre, more by the fact that they're loved in the emo community
