Is this song gonna blow up?

So this has been on my recommended list on youtube for days now and today I decided to give it a listen. To my biggest suprise a TOTAL BOP :enigma:

I can kinda see it having a "Somebody that I used to know" path, as the odd song becoming big from nowhere, despite being the opposite of everything else on the radio. It is just so catchy and relatable.

Do you think it has a chance or will it become a fad?

Will the gp be able to digest something so different from their trash music they usually listen to?

Will this thread have more than 3 replies or it will flop like my threads always do?

I absolutely love that song and it has been on repeat for a month, but it's not gonna blow up. Maybe in the indie scene, but surely not on pop radio.

PS: buy Pang on Itunes.

Caroline got really popular among popheads after she released her debut album Pang under her name (she's been around with Charlift and a few other side projects for a long time tho). She currently has kind of a cult following but I don't really see her getting into the mainstream. I would love to be wrong and for her to get big but I don't see that happening right now.

I mean you never know these days. And I think that's grat. Love the song & her.

I definitely got to check her album out if it is anything close to this bop :diane: I really like her voice and her aesthetic in general

This is probably the most upbeat song on the album. If you expect the album to be as poppy as SHYHMF, Pang might not be for you as the rest of the album is more subdued.

I didn't know she was Chairlift! Now I'm a lot more interested!

Even though Chairlift supplies bops (Ch-Ching is my fave) their name is pretty lame for a pop project. The solo releases seem like a great marketing move

she was part of a group called Chairlift and is now starting her Solo career, she's not a fad, she's been on indie playlists for over a decade now
