Ellen had clearly planned this beforehand and the way she led Jennifer into it without expressly asking for consent is something that would've caused a lot of cancellations if she was a man. Ellen seems to be for the clickbait right now. If I were Portia, I wouldn't be very impressed by this. I thought Ellen would be the last person to essentially fetishise lesbianism. I know that wasn't her aim but she knows this is what horny straight guys want to see, so why would she feed into that? She doesn't seem like the type who would want to.
