I...okay...? :air:

Not this clearly metaphoric tweet gaining 2010-level of discourse. I guess Gaga is just TOO powerful these days. :air:

It’s so weird. People only pay attention to her if they can promo themselves somehow.

Especially since as fans we also know how fame indirectly led Gaga to being in constant physical pain too. :toofunny:

Breaking her hip and not taking care of herself by cancelling the BTW tour created the constant physical pain.

Gurl over at r/blackpeopletwitter on reddit they have a whole thread about this tweet

Like a celebrity shows any signs of depression means people attack relentlessly with whataboutism

I am tired

Like I'm usually defending the "woke" crowd on most things. This one... :rip:

Sometimes people are just looking to hate to get internet woke points.

She's a songwriter ffs

Sis would she have gone on the BTWB tour if she weren't famous?

It was obviously the pressure of keeping her fame alive. She was young and was figuring out priorities and her team pushed her too much.

“Sis” she chose to become famous?

Are you saying she would've known exactly how it "really is"? Are you saying that her mental health issues are just "consequences" of what you call a choice and that she should deal with it?

Are you saying that she didn’t drag on her pain way to long and it didn’t cost her health?

Yeah. People used to pick apart and misinterpret the littlest things she'd tweet or say in an interview or editorial. I guess the good sis is really back. We love the return of the provocative pop zeitgeist!

Way to victim blame. Yes, she did. And what about it? She was obviously in a poor place mentally to have done that.

Yeah but these days people also get cancelled far more intensely and easily :selena:

True...but something like this is hardly cancel worthy. I feel like the only people trying it with that tweet are people that want to see Gaga dragged as opposed to anything else. The only way she'd get cancelled is if something gets picked up by mainstream media and taken seriously by the general public. Like the R Kelly story earlier this year.
