It's somewhat underwhelming from all the hype that was surrounding it, but overall it's a decent song. :) Nick's DY Prediction: #1 iTunes #1 BB100 #1 Pop Radio Not simultaneously, but eventually I think the song will hit all of the above milestones. Expecting it to be one of 2012's biggest hits. Not sure about Hot 100 bc of Rihanna's new track, but Pop/iTunes yes. Just bc its generic crap that'll get played. It doesn't stand out. Radio will probably eat it up but I'll will do nothing for her career in long term. She'll stay where she always was... Lana Del Ray new song is great ! Like, how many times are people going to allow Dr. Luke to do the same thing before we just collectively say "enough," and this **** stops suffocating radio. Like, I'm a huge defender of mainstream pop, and I constantly try to convince people that there's good to be found in the genre/on the radio, but, there's gotta be a line. And Dr. Luke's crossed it. Ugh. Him and Max Martin (who's capable of great work) need to stop and reassess. Lol, sorry for the rant. It's just the pop landscape has been so dull this year, and it's getting frustrating. The charts have been so desolate as of late. It's been a great year for Indie/Alternative pop... Fun, Marina, Florence, Lana, Ellie, Goyte... It's just "traditional" pop seems to be being pushed out by loud abrasive dance beats... (Provided we discount Carly...) For what's it worth though... I actually like Ke$ha's new single... it's basic yes, but kinda cute... like a loveably clumsy version of Good Feeling... Dr. Luke needs to start getting more distinctive intro's...
