You are expressing FEAR about the category of what it means to be a woman because to you it is tied to a biological sex that exists on a spectrum of either 'male' or 'female' which just is not the case. When you say "why didn’t they just add male symbol to the packaging rather than deleting the female one?" you clearly express your phobia. What Always is doing is simply changing their brand to detach their products from womanhood which is FINE and to think otherwise is transphobic. I have to apologize I'm stoned and I misread what you said originally. It seemed to me at first that you were against the idea of inclusivity when you said "why don't they just add the male sign" - I didn't realize you meant in addition to the female sign. I read it as outrage for erasure of women. Still, gender shouldn't have to be tied to hygiene products. I expressed it politely and I NEVER excluded someone. Period is biologically tied to female sex AND ONLY THOSE WHO ARE BORN FEMALE CAN HAVE IT. Like it or not! You trying to avoid biology while talking about period is just not right! Period is basic biology! We should include all genders and I am all for INCLUDING EVERYONE and NOT EXCLUDING ANYONE. I am not transphobic because I stand by womanhood. I want trans rights but I also want woman rights. One can’t be accomplished without another. Only women. Not trans women, just women. Period. In a way it’s another way for men to take something from women. But for some reason people from this site only want to see it from a trans perspective- which is weird. In this instance, trans people or whoever pushed for this are wrong. There is no reason to get offended by a product specifically for biological women- because that’s what it is. There is nothing “inclusive” about menstral cycles. If I was a woman, I would be pissed. this is also a marketing ploy for the company to seem as “ more inclusive” just to appease a very small percentage of the population, that does not need or buy their products. I guess Bic had it right when they made pens for girls. How else can women be seen if they aren’t paying more for products that are of lesser quality, or being taxed for necessities.
