It would be better to send the message that we can all co-exist together and for that we don't need to erase all traces of femininity, masculinity, "cis-genders" stereotypes for the other communities to exist. It would be like constantly asking to modify Kasher products to not offend the vegan community. Why can't they all exist in their own ways? It's just a strategy in my opinion as a lot of 'basic normal' people, may I say, feel threatened, believe it or not and might feel like their whole lifestyle has to change too, which is not true but I hope u understand what Im trying to convey and not distort my view. The real question is why are you so pressed that a female symbol is being removed from a package decoration... do you love that symbol more than you dislike trans inclusivity or are you just trying to make an issue where there isn’t one... Secondly, as others have said, since most people never even noticed its presence, but removing it will be more inclusive for some people, people who already are very vulnerable, what's the harm in doing away with it? Anyhow, not all cisgender women menstruate anyway (not just talking about post-menopause – there are other medical reasons why some cis women don't), and as already has been mentioned, some trans men & non-binary people do. While we're at it, can we please stop taxing these products too? But all of this has me thinking about how stores categorize these items: often the aisles are labeled "feminine hygiene products" or some variant thereof. I wonder if that will change. Also, the clinic that houses my ob-gyn office is called XX Center for Women's Health – I wonder if someday that will change. These might seem like trivial issues to some people, but for others they can be life-and-death matters, since everyone needs healthcare, and you don't want someone to avoid seeking out care that they need because the way something is named triggers their gender dysphoria. Even if you don't personally understand or agree with something, why be intentionally hurtful toward people who are affected by this? I as a woman feel like this is unnecessary and sorry if that offends you in any way but we all know females still aren’t on the same level as males and this undermines all those years of fighting for equality. Why didn’t they just add male symbol to the packaging rather than deleting the female one? And before saying “it’s not that serious” - yes it is that serious to me. Majority of people using this website are male and part of LGBTQ community and I understand why all of you support this decision but I also think that you don’t consider other side of the spectrum aka ladies.
