I only camped for four days, but still.. It was like a super fun vacation with friends that I will never forget! I went with a good friend (we're from Norway, we went to Finland for two shows) and we ended up getting really good friends with other people camping from different countries. We had a great number system so that whenever we needed to go somewhere we could leave for an hour or two with no problem.

I go to college, but it was of the beginning of a new semester, so I just took a few days of. Other people camping worked extra the weeks before to get out of job on the camping days.

Just think about it, how many DAYS have you spent discussing Gaga online? Her hair, outfits, quotes, award shows and leaked demos? Isn't that just as crazy? I spent a few days of my life to get that key and to actually meet her. She's almost never in my part of the world, so it was my only chance, and I'd easily do it again, and easily for more days!

Thought the numbering system is not an approved method. It may work for your group but if the people in front or behind you don't go along with it, it has no real meaning.

Yeah of course it can backfire and we took a chance, but in most cases it really works. For every person that arrived we told them about the system, and everyone was really nice and following it. They could of course say they didn't want to, but then we would be more people against them.. And most people wants to be on the list, so that they can go to the toilet and stuff.

And also, the local head of security came and talked with us in the morning in the day before show day, and told us they would follow our list as long as we had control over it.. And that he would remember that I was first no matter what. :)

So yeah, in some cases the list can fail, but most times it's great. And it's the best system we've got so far.. If they actually followed the 8 am rule, how the hell are they going to decide who's first?

A lot of people were being really terrible online though, saying they would burn the list, and some even said a Norwegian mass murderer (Anders Behring Breivik) should kill us.. But on concert day everyone was following the queue and security (both Haus and local) said they would kick out ANYONE trying to cut the line. :)

I am the Keyholder for the show in Manchester on the 11th September 2012. I camped for 8 days outside the arena. I had a friends house nearby where I could shower and do everything I needed easily. So no, I didn't attend the show stinking, I didn't (nor did anyone else at any other show) have to wear a diaper because I am not 6 months old and no, I didn't have a job or school to attend because I had previously booked time off from work and I didn't start school until the 13th. I didn't do this because 'omg mother monsta is my life and omg i wanna meet her so much lolz', I did it because this woman is my everything and I don't usually have the oppurtunity to chase her around the country to meet her. I'm dedicated and persistant and if that means having narrow minded, supposedly accepting and caring fans discuss mine and 50+ other people's then I'd do it all over again. I sat with her for 20 minutes talking about everything and I regret absolutely nothing (she didn't have to bear with me stinking either because 1) I'd taken this thing called a 'shower' and 2) DEODERANT). Yes, I have responsibilities but my friends, family, boss and co-workers all know what this Gaga has done for me and they would drop everything if it meant I had this oppurtunity. Just because you can't be bothered to camp for more than 48 hours, doesn't mean I can't. I've never felt so amazing about anything until the moment she told me how happy she was to see dedicated fans than want something so much they don't let other people get in their way. This fanbase is one of the worst around and personally, I don't think I can deal with all of it anymore. I'm here for Gaga and her music, none of you.

Days earlier is indeed ridiculous, but really early on the same day seems fine.

Why do you think days earlier is ridiculous? No one really seems to be giving me a justifiable reason as to why camping for a long period of time is ridiculous. I've already explained the entire situation and none of it seems stupid.

Reading this thread really bummed me out. I was planning on showing up at like 7am to get in the monster pit. Why aren't they enforcing the 8am rule?

Really is (or should be) just whatever you want. The looks I get from people at work when I tell them I've queued for 12 hours to get in to a gig is often priceless - they just don't (and cannot) understand why I do it - but they will never get to experience live music in the front rows which is just an unbeatable experience.

If people want to camp out and have the time and means to do so then fair play to them, do it, have an amazing night on the front row of the gig and who cares what anyone else might think.

7am should be fine to get into the Monster Pit (don't get hung up on being front row, anywhere in the pit is a brilliant view) - possibly with the exception of New York & LA.
