Can't relate :ohwell:

I've always been vegetarian and tried eating meat. It was awful. I was so motivated to start eating meat but every time I tried I couldn't stop gagging :selena: Happy being a vegetarian. And all my blood tests always come out normal.

the "LoOk How cOol aNd eDgY i aM i EaT mEaT" attitude some people have every time this topic is brought up is pathetic and honestly it makes me a little angry.

But don't vegans hassle people about eating meat? It's just a retaliation. Unfortunately vegans and meat eaters are just never going to get on because their ideologies are so polarising.

If you’re going back to eating meat within a year... then you weren’t vegan then, were you? :ohwell:

I never really ate much meat but made it a point to stay away from it entirely like 10 years ago. Nothing has had such a drastic effect on my energy and my mood then becoming vegan. No medication has ever come close to benefiting me in the way being vegan has. It has made me an all around better person.

I think the whole “I need it to be healthy” or “I don’t want to be nutrient deficient” argument is laughable because there’s nothing the human body requires that can only be found in meat. And do you really think McDonoalds is where you’re going to find those nutrients? Eat some broccoli if you want heaping, gorgeous amounts of protein.

Its just so difficult to eat without meat in most Western countries and get all your nutrients without expending hours in the kitchen.

I stopped eating meat for a month or so, and when I got back to school I needed to eat meat at least twice a week for that reason.

If I ate vegetarian at school (vegan is imposible), id only eat carbs and fat most of the time :/

Whereas in India, being vegeterian is really easy.

We just got so used to eating meat everyday, knowing we dont need it.

Hahahahaha haha

I've cut meat a longer time from my diet, not only because it's inethical but also health reasons (even a doctor said that meat and dairy and long list of other foods might be bad for my illness endometriosis). So trying a vegetarian diet atm, and also reducing milk but thats the hard one for me... I think it's easier to not start strick, even reducing meat does have impact.

Also, why the diets fail is because the early conditioning and being used on those habits. Also when sick you'd tend to fall on the habits. Also personally I'm a horrible cook. Would need to research good, easy to make vegan meals...

My vegetarian friend eats fish and my vegan friend snuck a slice of cheese in her sandwich when no one was looking so... :ally:

As for my I try to cut red meat out of my diet as much as possible.

And 100% of myself eats meat! All day everyday! Life’s too short to not eat bacon!

We did accidentally feed the vegan at work a non vegan cupcake! We made vegan ones and thought those were the ones we brought but they weren’t! Whoopsies!

Some reasons named here for why some of you can’t stop eating meat are so... :awkney:

I honestly don’t care if someone eats meat or doesn’t ... but then just say « I like meat » thats totally fine, don’t search a dumb excuse why you « have to eat meat » (as long as it’s nithing concerning health issues obviously)

Yes I feel a bit more tired since I stopped eating meat, and yes I still like it when I smell meat BUT I don’t say that If I would justify why I eat meat. Just say you like it and point. I stopped eating meat only some months ago so I know what it’s like... Also I admit that I mainly stopped for environmental reasons

What concerns the OP...I am sure those numbers can’t be applied to longterm vegetarians or vegans...

On the first part. Sure you do what you want. But facts are that it isn’t good for your health, for animals AND the environment when you eat meat EVERYDAY. That is insane to me, there is no reason a human has to eat that much meat.

The second part is just ignorant...And you find it funny that you gave a vegan person something non-vegan... That says a lot about you

I appreciate that people are vegan and vegetarian! And I love animals so that part for me is hard! I mean no disrespect by it! I just happen to like meat! It’s something I enjoy eating and no I’m not shoving 3 hamburgers in my face a day. I eat a lot of veggies and I’d  say I eat equal amounts of both. I actually eat pretty healthy and limit dairy.

I dislike vegans who rub their veganism in your face. Im perfectly healthy with the diet I eat and don’t need anyone telling me what to put in my mouth.

As far as the cupcake. It was an honest mistake that we didn’t realize until after the fact. Yes i felt bad but it was too late, so we laugh about it now! Everyone involved is ok!
