All he's saying that the soulless movie had a bad impact on the music (including Bey's Spirit) and it made the music feel soulless and forgettable to newcomers too. And it's true, the scenery of The Circle of Life in the remake is not heart banging and giving you goosebumps like in the original. Can You Feel The Love Tonight in the remake is very beautiful but the scene made the song feel soulless, something was off, especially when it was day in that scene and it's against the song.
