Edonis 28,950 Posted October 14, 2019 Share Posted October 14, 2019 I'm curious because unless you're doing some sort of bubblegum take on disco like ABBA or something, the genre tends to require more soulful singing (hence why so many soul and R&B singers had so many disco hits in the 70s and ealry 80s). I think if a popgirl can pull it off it will be her though because she does have a smokey/dark/heavy tone to her voice and a bit of soulfulness in her imo (listen to "Thinking Bout You")!
