We can very clearly see how ASIB and Joanne are linked to one another sonically and in a sense thematically. I’m curious where in the process it was written, but it also makes sense why she had to go back after Joanne was done to do more because they only had a week which is absolutely insane. True but she had one week with Mark, with Lukas, DJWS she probably had more time. Mark's only song on the album is Shallow, even though there were more demos they worked on.
